Sonic Style Ponies: Twilight Sparkle

This wasn't the original design I had for her, and eventually settled on schoolgirl Sparkle 101 because it just fits the archetype she carries for the entirety of things. Colors wise... I had to tweak them a bit from the scheme of the vectors I've seen floating about. They actually made her look pale in comparison to the others done so far (which at this point was only Applejack and Fluttershy).

FYI - The start of this project was before she got her wings, and I decided to do her without wings.

Anyway, schoolgirl 101- while Twilight was an apprentice, I don't doubt that she still attended that academy as well. Considering it was Canterlot, I wouldn't be surprised if there would be some kind of uniform for "such a prestigious school". _{(That and my experience with private schools usually ended up in either uniforms or a specific dress code that to any child/kid/adolescent would be less than relatively free dress.)}

That and considering Twilight's family could afford to live relatively comfortable in Canterlot (and afford all those books and to enroll her in the academy in the first place...seriously deep pockets), I'm going to go on a stretch and say that while not always the fancy type (proper/professional maybe), if her parents bought her clothes, I doubt they would've been second-hand. Hence the loafers, and not your typical boots, sneakers, heels, etc.

So, she was relocated to Ponyville- and even after everything, she still saw herself as a student more or less despite perhaps letting loose from time to time. In my mind, I wouldn't be surprised if she just felt the most comfortable dressing "like" a student because it's what she knows and perhaps feels she needs to present herself.

Now for color choice...

...You know it, I know it, she looks part Blaze the Cat just based on colors alone.

I thought about making her outfit basically a complete array of blues, but chose against it because I felt it looked "too" much like a school uniform...oh the irony. Using yellow was a thought... or even doing yellow/gold ring bracelet things, and it could probably work, I just couldn't think of it. (Although honestly I found her princess dress to be...less than appealing to me.) I felt she could get away with wearing darker purple since she was a lighter, less saturated shade as it was.

The blue skirt was to offset things (more her gala dress made sense enough), and the blue bracelets to balance that. Black loafers because black goes with everything... (Sure we'll go with that.)
