Description
John the Heir lives on a peaceful sky-island called Earth with his friends. Recently, in a near-death event, he was crowned the ‘Heir of Breath’ - which was a mis-spelling of ‘earth.’ Although new to the aristocracy, he has good intentions and wants to shepherd the island to a successful re-population of the surface world. He also loves the theater, especially campy, over-the-top, terrible theater with wire work starring Nick Cage.
In this universe, steam power (much like nuclear power) was invented during war that destroyed the earth’s surface. Thus, people created great engines to lift islands of arable land into the sky. This resulted in two classes of people: those who live on the sky islands and those who power the steam engines that keep it afloat. Body modification with steam-powered accessories has become the norm to help people survive with their minimal resources.

Hah, how is "Heir of Breath" a misspe-...oh wait. You're saying Breath was a misspelling of Earth. Okay that makes more sense. Though one question is that if they live on the same planet as eachother in this, did the planet just have two sentient species then somehow?
