He walks up to you, a short but young woman; in his hand is a bouquet of wildflowers.
He gives you a nervous chuckle before stuttering in his speech. "I--uh, that is... I can make you a flower wreath?"
The raven-haired scientist gives you a sheepish look, a small blush appearing on his face. He shyly looks away, scratching the side of his face. It's plain that he's nervous.
A strange looking dog seems to be following behind him, panting endlessly and eager to be following his master. At the sight of you, the strange fluffy monster jumps at you. For his size, he's surprisingly heavy, nearly knocking you over as his attempts to jump up to lick your face are foiled only by his short and stubby legs, as well as powerful weight.
"Ah, Chesterfield, no!" The gentleman scientist almost drops his bouquet in an attempt to subdue the dog--furry furniture?-- creature. It whines, but sits as his master commands, tail wagging endlessly and mouth open, panting.
The creature's owner looks up at you when Chester's been subdued, giving you another sheepish smile. "M-my apologies, I didn't think he was around... And um. Here." He proffers the flowers again, this time grabbing your hand with his free one in order to quickly hand the bouquet over to you.
"I, uh... "
He turns around, quickly abashed and nervously laughing. "Well, I uh better be going! I have science to do!" More nervous laughter escapes his lips, and he quickly steals a glance at you to gauge your reaction. Seeing you smile at him, his face warms slightly and quickly he hastens to add, "Perhaps I could... um. Help you tie flowers sometime?" Realizing how confusing what he just said is, he adds, "I mean, into a headband! Ahaha... I think they would look very pretty on you."
Before the words had been stopped, they had flown out of his mouth. He flushed quickly and stammered away, calling Chester with him once more and quickly walking away from you. When he thinks he's out of distance of you, you can hear him grumbling something about how stupid that was.

Dear me, this is amazing. While short, this story is so detailed and awesome that I want to tell you how fantastic it is. I would love to see more stuff like this, but seeing as this is a year or more old I don't think I will. But nevertheless, you are extremely talented. Thank you for posting this.
