A Dark World That Fades Sketch - Wattpad Cover

To all of the writers and readers of Wattpad, meet your next young writer who is about to publish one of her many poems on the Internet! With a lot of positivity and confidence to click the publish button is my goal for this poem and my future pieces. A Dark World That Fades started out during a workshop with Caridad de la Luz also known as "La Bruja" during an event at my school and she gave us various questions to help us start. Personally I was not going to follow the basic structure she gave us because as a writer I need to go further, I need to share what's on my mind in my own way without holding back, and most importantly be my own leader.

Either way she was one of the many people who motivated me to continue with the poem. On the other hand, I would like to share a bit of background history that pertains to this poem:

The original title of this poem was A Darkened World That Seems to Fade.
This poem originally had two stanzas.
This poem comes from everything I see as well as hear everyday whether it's in school or through news article that share very deep things. But for part of it's the negativity that I as an individual and many others experience every now and then.

As a Christian and teen who is growing up in an environment with violence, cursing, drugs (like many communities), I want to stand up for what is right even with my faults. All of these things were a motive to write and when an idea hits I will not ignore it.
