Marvel buttons- The Wasp

Another original founding Avenger, The Wasp (Janet Van Dyne) was the spirited socialite who received her abilities from boyfriend/eventual husband/ex-husband Hank Pym (Ant-Man). She actually came up with the name "Avengers."

Wasp is another superhero that I did not know much about before reading some original Avengers comics and watching Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Since then, I now absolutely adore this character. She's so spunky and despite her small size and powers, she can certainly hold her own or at least put up the front that she can. And despite all the drama and hardships that she's had to go through in the comics, she's just come out stronger for it.

For this character, I made two versions of her costume. The one on the left is her original outfit as she appeared when the Avengers first began. The one on the right is her costume from Earth's Mightiest Heroes. This costume is personally my favorite and I actually made that costume for Halloween. Not easy to make, but it came out looking pretty realistic.

This is part of another button line that I'll be working on: Marvel heroes (and villains). Expect to see some more this week as I assemble the Avengers and beyond.

Note: Since I'm a huge Marvel fan, we'll have to see if I burn out before getting to DC.
