As far as I know, I am the last of my kind.

My armor is too badly damaged to defend myself against the creatures holding me prisoner, and I don't have enough power to elevate or operate my gunstick. Before I started to panic, I recalled the Primary Dalek Directive.

5. Destroy or subjugate all potential threats to the Daleks or yourself.

That wasn't going to happen anytime soon. By the look in the white solar empress's face, if I so much as grazed a creature, potential threat would become certain death.

4. Pay attention to your surroundings. If you find your vision impaired or your weapons crippled, hearing or close-range scanning may reveal enemy plots and weaknesses.

Within the crate I was encased in, I listened carefully. Then, I heard my white solar captor speaking to an unknown amount of others, perhaps slaves or students.

"Twilight, this creature is not a threat to be taken lightly. Even when broken and weak, it managed to escape its bonds and seriously injured a guard."

"But princess, why don't you just banish or destroy it if it is so dangerous? With Discord, we had no choice but to redeem him because he was too powerful to permanently seal!"

"From what I have heard from this creature, it is the last of its kind. It may not be attacking out of malice, but in grief. Besides, we ponies must make at least an honest effort to reform something that poses no immediate threat to us. If you could save Discord, you can save this creature as well."

The subjugation and tone in which they refer to me makes me boil with rage. They planned to make the supreme creature bend to the will of an inferior? To make a mockery of the Daleks? I recalled number 3 before I squandered precious energy.

3. On reconaissance missions, stranding on alien worlds, or other non-invasion/extermination missions, play a servant, friendly soldier, or other nonaggressive roles to lower an enemy's guard.

Suddenly, the crate opens, and blinding sunlight hits my eyestalk. Six other bizarrely colored creatures accompany my captor. I roll out of the crate I was sealed in.

"Be careful, girls," a purple creature warns the others.

"What, of that big, clunky thing?" a cyan one snorts.

"So inelegant," A white one scoffs.

"Hold up, ya'll. Just because it doesn't look dangerous doesn't mean it isn't dangerous," an orange one in a hat warns.

"ARE YOU A ROBOT!?" A pink one appears directly in my face, startling me.

"Um...What are you?" the last one, a yellow creature asks.

"GREETINGS, MISTRESSES. I AM DALEK KOLT," I screech. "I AM YOUR FRIEND."

2. Be wary of enemies.

~

A brown stallion paused in his tinkering with a watch. A blue mare working next to him notices.

"Anything wrong, Doctor?" the mare asks.

"It's...it's nothing, Colgate," the Doctor stutters. "Just some bad memories coming up to the surface."

~

The shock had worn off my captor's face, replaced now by suspicion. But I am still led away by the Six, presumably to be tortured or forced to do their bidding. While self-destruction would be more dignified way to go, a final rule keeps me from destroying my new captors.

1. Above all else, preserve the Dalek species and your life at any cost.  No boundaries exist, whether physical, emotional or mental when it comes to the preservation of the Daleks.
If the title image looks rushed, that's because it is. Damn twilight shots from the back. Damn them to hell.
So, I figured I should have a good setup for the blog by writing out an expository prologue for the eponymous creature.
It is a tale of redemption and shattering of ideals, hopefully I can actually start work on the Ask blog next week, and not have such a good idea die out quickly.
