Every Sunday this article will aim to promote volunteer opportunities, various resources, prompts, challenges, and workshops, as well as highlighting various contests, and spotlighting a specific group or project for two weeks. This is by no means a complete list of all the literature going-ons, merely a tool to help you get involved and stay informed.

Medoriko was fantastic and more than willing to let me take my time and send her questions about her group, TheWritersWareHouse
Can you explain a bit about your group, TheWritersWareHouse, and what makes it different from other literature groups on dA?
The Writers Warehouse was created as a hopeful solution to a somewhat common problem I discovered throughout my time on dA as a participant in many other lit groups. I found that many were too small and we somewhat inactive in terms of activities for members. The other half were very large and my deviations got lost in the sea of deviations so my work was hardly ever looked at. I would have to join 10 groups or more just to get some watchers my way. I wanted a group that had active members who take time to view the submitted work. I also wanted the group to have activities in the way of weekly prompts and frequent contests/projects to motivate and inspire the members. I think the group is a great blend of group size and activities. I also generally read and comment on majority of gallery submissions that come in. That’s what sets us apart. I also try to inform my members of things going on in the lit community that I know of via my weekly Monday News journal. I also do Feature Fridays, that include deviations from members and non members as well.
In your opinion what is the most important thing TheWritersWareHouse can do for its members?
The Writers Warehouse can be a place where the members know that the deviations they submit, regardless of the type of literature, will be looked at. Even if it’s just by me initially. If I feel it is needed, I will spotlight overlooked deviations in the Feature Fridays. It is also a place they know they can be inspired by the weekly prompts. So it is not just a place to put your already written works. It is a place to discover yourself. Also, we’re pretty nice there
What kind of projects and events is the group hosting? Any future ones?
Right now we do weekly prompts where the submissions are voted on by the members via a poll. The winner wins points. As for other events, I so far have planned for: a Pass the Poem/Chapter event, Music Mash Madness Contest (where you have to use lines or titles of songs to make a poem), and a Critique it Forward (where those who participate are guaranteed at least one critique/comment on a set number of deviations of their choosing...but ONLY if they critique/comment on someone else’s work.” I will be holding other monthly contests but those are so far the ones that I have already planned out. I need to work on something for the prose writers. My first contest that I will hold in June will be prompt based. I will have them describe something (a color, weather, food, etc). HOWEVER, they are not allowed to say that ‘something’ in the deviation itself or in the title. The point is to be able to get the audience to know what they are describing without actually telling us. Entries will be judged by me and a panel of judges that I have to gather up.
When someone looks through the group’s gallery, what kind of pieces might they find??
Oh. There is a wide variety. I would say most of those are some type of poetry. However, all the other gallery folders for prose is filled with various genres of writing. It really is a mixed bag. Something for everyone. I am particularly fond of some of the haikus that have been submitted
Anything else of note that you would like to share?
If you are looking for some fun and a way to grow as a writer, come on over. You will surely be welcomed here I am also looking for some people to be gallery moderators, so if you are interested please note me or the group (you must be fairly active on dA, please).

Checking In
It's been quite a while since my last journal entry, about five years. I hope whoever is reading this knows I've never forgotten anyone and I think of all the friends I made here with such love and joy. I'm not sure how many people still linger on DA, but I hope that if you somehow stumble back to my page you know that I love you and wish you well. There is simply too much to go over for the span of five years, so I'll keep it short and sweet. I love you and I missed you. I don't write quite as much as I used to, but I've started dabbling more often again and was thinking of posting once more. I'm terribly out of practice, but it's something that's always been cathartic so it doesn't matter too much to me how "good" it is. Sometimes you just have to get the feelings out. Anyways, I hope you are having a wonderfully lovely day, my lovelies. How about some questions! What's your current favorite song? A video game you can't stop playing? TV show or movie you wish everyone else would
Renewal
It has been a rough few years for myself and my family. It is strange to think that for once in my adult life that I am legitimately doing well, not pretending or being close but not quite there. Things are almost infinitely better than 6 months ago and, if I'm honest, it feels like that was years ago. DA has always been a home and as I've slowly gotten better I find myself missing it and all the friends I've made more and more. I know I do not elaborate much on my personal life, but perhaps now that so much is behind me I can allow myself to discuss it more. In truth, I'm not even sure where to begin, but updating on what happened in the la
Birthdays and Change
I wanted to thank all the lovelies who wished me happy birthday recently, I read all your comments and it made me extremely happy. ♥ It was nice to hop on and see that I was thought of, I truly appreciate it beyond words.
However, I know have been very absent for a few months now. Things have not be going well in my life for the majority of the year (and if I'm honest the last 2 years) now and I have had to put DA on the back burner. I still find myself coming to the site, reading comments/replies, looking at deviations, but currently I am overwhelmed by everything that I can't bring myself to do much else.
I find myself now on the pr
