Poisonfang Reference Sheet 2014

Heritage: Both his parents were born in RiverClan; his grandmother, Duskfur, died less than a moon after he was born due to a nasty battle wound becoming infected. His father, Podleap, died while protecting his kits - then apprentices - from a hawk attack, being carried away in it's talons.

History:
He was born during the reign of Shallowstar - Mistystar's successor. His mother barely lived though her kitting, losing a lot of blood. This caused one of his siblings to be stillborn. He had two sisters, Cloudkit and Spreekit, whom he vowed to keep safe from harm. Lakeripple, the current medicine cat after Willowshine's death, received a prophecy that Poisonkit would become a strong warrior - perhaps even leader - of RiverClan. He then watched the young kit as he grew up from a tiny kit into an apprentice with the senior warrior, Pebblefoot, as a mentor. His mother retired to the elder's den soon after her kits became apprentices.

Poisonpaw showed signs of being a very capable cat, as he excelled at training and become an excellent fisher and fighter. When RiverClan fought against a small group of WindClan warriors, his best friend become terribly injured. In an act of vengeance, he accidentally dealt a killing blow to the WindClan apprentice who hurt his friend. The Clan began to become nervous around Poisonpaw, who would threaten to attack anyone who dare accuse him of being a murderer. His own sisters and friend began to distance themselves from him due to his increasingly fierce temperament. He started pushing himself to train hard to make up for causing so much fear among his Clanmates.

He received his warrior name half a moon before his sisters, then promptly earned an apprentice only 5 moons later. His apprentice turned out to be a strong warrior by the name of Swallowfin (coincidentally, Streampaw's mentor). After the deputies retirement, he was elected by Shallowstar to be the new deputy of RiverClan. He then showed a darker side of his personality by accusing WindClan of stealing prey, even going as far as to nearly attacking it's leader at a gathering. RiverClan got into many border raids with WindClan, which caused the deaths of two warriors and crippling an apprentice. Shallowstar proceeded to banish Poisonfang from her Clan, but he refused to leave, instead knocking the leader off the rock (whatever the leader makes announcements on is called), stating her weakness. Flowdeep dragged Poisonfang off and the two cats attacked each other. Flowdeep, angry at his brother's death, sliced a deep gash in Poisonfang's throat.

As the RiverClan deputy lay dying, he stared at Lakeripple accusingly, stating that the medicine cat lied to him, before turning to Shallowstar and Flowdeep, promising to have his revenge on his Clan. His spirit was sent to the Dark Forest, where he remained until StarClan cats decided to give the former deputy a second chance; his spirit was sent to reside in Skullkit, hoping he would redeem himself for his wrong actions while he was alive.
