Description

Centuries after the Necromancers loosed the Dracolich Kul'Nar upon the world, she still roams the earth virtually unimpeded. She has become a disastrous supernatural force fueled by the spirits of the dead. She is like no other other creature. Any city or town she encounters becomes a battlefield; any battlefield she lingers upon becomes a mass graveyard.

Kul'Nar towers over 50 meters tall with bones stronger than titanium steel. Only holy based attacks can cause her any real sort of pain but no attack yet attempted can yield any lasting damage upon her macabre form. No longer capable of utilizing her once splendid azure fire breath Kul'Nar is now only capable of spewing a chocking black smog that corrodes all metal it contacts and boils all flesh with burning tar. Any life form slain by this breath weapon immediately become category 3 undead mindlessly attacking all other life forms within range be they Paladin or Necromancer. These scorched dead are capable of burning living flesh just by touching it and are viscous opponents by their own right.

Kul'Nar's secondary weapon is chain lightning. once a mechanism used for regulating her fire breath now is a weapon of mass destruction capable of slagging even the mightiest armor. When angered beyond comprehension her Phylactery or core located within her hollowed gut begins to lose activated specters out onto the battlefield. These wraiths soar into the ranks of all who stand before her draining precious spectral energies from her opponents souls before eventually returning to her core granting her even more raw power. This mechanism prevents her body from decaying beyond its originally risen state and can even regenerate old wounds over time. Even without these terrifying weapons in her arsenal Kul'Nar has the power to turn the mightiest castle walls into a crumbling ruin. Her ability to fly has actually increased since her death due to her overall loss of organic mass. There is no city upon the world that she cannot lay waste to, no barren sky that she cannot scorch, no undersea sanctuary that she cannot obliterate.

All Dragon kin are capable of a unique form of telepathy that allows them to communicate with humans via ghostly avatars that reflect their former human bodies, Kul'Nar's avatar is only ever briefly experienced through terrifying nightmares. As her proximity to inhabited towns increases so too does the populace's nightmares concerning the great calamity approaching their domiciles. This in a sense acts as a double edged sword in that it sows dread upon any who would dare stand against her, but also provides a chance for the populace to flee her path of destruction. Though many would rather die in their homes than risk being devoured by the countless unknown monsters lurking in the wild.

Kul'Nar's surviving siblings have attempted to stand against her many times in the past attempting to save what populated cities they could but even working together they do not have the combined strength necessary to overpower their undead sister. Thus this sad twisted being blindly continues to fight a war she started centuries ago against the acolytes of Anubis. Unaware of the aid her presence inadvertently provides to her enemies. No one knows if the once fair child will ever experience peace again or if she might just end up wiping all of humanity from the face of the earth once and for all.

Those very very few of you who got to see this in the works on my stream know that this piece has been quite troublesome to me. I'm hoping that the lessons learned crafting it will allow me to more quickly speed up my production process in the future. = o=

I really did write like 3 pages worth of content concerning this character and her history. This bit here is just the last few paragraphs of it to help keep at least a bit of traffic moving toward my personal site.

ujuuu ..... hheheh ... ok ok
speaking positively the image is well designed ... good use of shadow, while good .... the expression fits very well demonstrating the act which is performing in the drawing .... tonality .... talking about the shadows, there are parts where the shadow should be ... according to the design that should be reflected, fire coming out of the eyes ... well, that if it was a nice touch .... impressive demonstration of ability to do your drawings .... very well using the technique, color, tone, etc ...
is so .. and see how improved your art...
