Welcome to Rouge Mountain Stables
Rouge Mountain is an older style horse ranch, as it's been in the family for a couple generations now. In its beginning it was a very large working cowhorse ranch where top quality Quarter Horses and Paints were bred and trained. But as the next generation has taken over things have changed. What used to be an outdoor arena for western events has been remade into a lovely dressage arena that can be used almost year-round. The indoor arenas can be used for anything desired, jumps can be set up or taken down and it is large enough to house shows and cattle chutes. Though some of it's western heritage remains as many of the horses now raised are trained all-around.
Now Rouge has broadened it's reaches with breeding programs and training. The recent owner has taken a liking to the Spanish type Mustangs and has a weak spot for adopting wild BLM mustangs from the round ups and auctions. It's back field is extremely large and the mustangs are often allowed out to live how they used to live; wild, though now it's only for a couple weeks at a time or when a stallion is put on pasture with his mares. Some of the adoptive Mustangs go into the back pasture and are kept there to live happy and as close to wild as they can be while still protected and kept healthy.
There are still cow horses on the property but the new influx of horses to the breeding program are vastly Baroque breeds. Many are trained for dressage or jumping and shown in local events. Some of the rising stars will be shown more heavily and hope to achieve high accolades. There are hopes to have high world class show horses and a top notch breeding program in the coming years.

Guys.

I miss this so much, and having an art outlet. Adult life sucks xD
Anyways, little update ahead.
My kid is 1.5 now and absolutely wild. She's a crazy kid and I love it. She's obsessed with horses and getting pony rides. I can't wait till she's big enough to actually start learning to ride. She's a ball of sass and such pay back for when I was a kid! I've loved every minute of watching her grow though.
I got ANOTHER horse yall. A little solid bay APHA filly.
We named her Fiona ^^
She's by Ambitious Dream out of Superior Sierra, a Superior To A Te daughter. She was a late oops baby, born in late July 2019 so we got he
I'm Alive!
Hey guys!
So sorry I've been MIA for so long. It's been a crazy year. Having a kid really consumes your time. And it's my last year of college. I finish this spring then do an internship. Then off to find a job in the IT field.
I haven't been able to be on my own computer in ages and it's pretty much dying. My man stepped on it and cracked the screen and the hinges are shot. It's just a mess and the mouse likes to freak out now on it's own. I really need to buy a new one, like bad but dont have the extra money for it right now which really sucks. We moved and were paying full bills at 2 places for a month plus deposit. It's been extremely t
