Two down, a couple more to go. Mike hadn't really thought coming to this auction Amelia would be wanting so many horses. He figured one, possibly two and his girlfriend would be happy. But no, she wanted a couple more. She'd have her hands full working with them that's for sure...
Amelia walked a couple pens down from the roan filly she liked and looked over more horses. Here two stood out, a striking black two-year old and a bay just a little older with a big white face. Both of them were good looking, well built and sturdy mares. The bay seemed to be leading the rest, the black sticking right next to her. How cute would it be to get the two as they were already so close.
"Those two are from the same band, probably sisters." Amelia overheard a man speaking at her side, also looking at the two fillys. Well then, sisters...she couldn't justify separating them especially when she wouldn't mind having both. Her mind was set right after she overheard the man wanting to buy the black filly himself. Seemed it would end up a bidding war.

When the auction came to an end Amelia just couldn't win that black filly, not with her funds, but she didn't let the other man have her cheap at least. She got her sister though, and soon she'd be run into a pen to be loaded with the other horses she'd got.

The next day the mares seemed settled into their pen, the young bay was more than greedy with the hay that had been thrown in. She'll end up a handful that's for sure. Amelia couldn't help but like her though, she was feisty and snappy. She'd be the worst to break aside from the stud colt.
