Ah, yeah they're not really humans or Warners anymore, I dunno. But I have a couple of things to say.
I don't really like fandoms that are very OC oriented. It kinda makes me sad that the original and canon characters aren't appreciated that much. People in the A! fandom here on dA use the Warners mostly as puppets to ship their characters with, when you could do so many more interesting things with the Warners and with your characters separately. I felt kinda pressured to make fan-characters when I joined this fandom, and I'm glad I did, no lie! I see a lot of potential in my precious siblings. They're gradually getting a spiritual connection with me.
Some people say they make OCs cause they love the characters so much they want to be with them. Why not just draw you, then? You have your own character traits and backstory already, it's pretty simple in my eyes. Besides, I don't see Lily as being me. She's a bit too optimistic and joke-y to be me. I'd rather draw myself hugging the Warners. Cause that's what it would look like if I actually did, right?
I don't hate the fan-characters of the A! fandom here. I don't. A lot of them have very original appearances and personalities. The CanonxOC pairings are cute sometimes. It just gets a bit old when I open my messages and see yet ANOTHER oc paired with Yakko. I've been roleplaying Yakko for about 10 months now, and I'd say that he's not as much of a ladies-man as you'd think. He likes pretty girls, but he's afraid of settling down with one. Yakko's actually a big nerd so you don't want him ladies. This doesn't mean you can't write a story about him doing so. Just my opinion. I still like YakkoxLaffy either way. It's cute. Not canon though. There is a difference.
But I'm definitely still in this fandom a great amount because of Tumblr. Everyone in the A! fandom on Tumblr absolutely loves the Warners and only the Warners. We all hate Yakko and think he's a big nerd and think Wakko is the cutest little boy ever. Dot is a sass-master too. They all are. I'd rather be punching Yakko than pairing my OC with him any day. Odd, I know.
But!!! I'm glad that I see improvement with my Warner drawings. This drawing is definitely better than this one: [link] right?
