Background: Alpheus was born and raised in a village of Familiars that is hidden away from society. He attended a school for the species to learn how to shapeshift for familiars can not do so without proper training. Eventually, he was bored of the school and decided to become an adventurer. He left the village without finishing his training and as a result, his transformations are limited, but soon he will learn more forms. One of his first stops was in the middle east (NOTE: originally intended to be Saudi Arabia, but after finding out about the country's laws, I decided to change the location). There, he met Amina, another familiar who was also training and also gave him a set of clothes fit for familiars which he really liked. The two struck up a friendship and eventually traveled the world together. As they travel, their fellings for each other gradually grows.
About the character: Al is a fun-loving familiar who has a thirst for adventure. He will often make friends with people who, of course, earn his respect and also finds Amina cute. Alpheus was also known to be mischievous until Ami got him to stop. When he hears about new places, he instantly wants to go and nothing's gonna stop him... well, almost nothing. lol Al also has the tendency to let curiosity get the best of him and this sometimes gets him into trouble. He has special feelings for Amina which will play its part in the future.

About Familiars: There are two different yet unrelated types of familiars: The tradditional familiars which have a strong connection to spellcasters, and the bipedal familiars which are an independant species. This type of familiar has the power to transform into anthropomorphic animals. Their height and sometimes their weight will vary from form to form. The clothes they wear are enchanted so that they can grow and shrink along with them. Standard familiars fur/coat color and patterns will remain the same no matter what form they take. High class familiars (such as a master) can not only change their forms, but their color and pattern as well. They can stay in those forms as long as they like. Their default forms (also known as birth forms) will depend on the form the mother is in when she gives birth. Although they have the natural power to shapeshift, familiars must learn how to transform sufficiently. Each familiar has their own method of transformation, but they all have one thing in common: That familiar must focus on the form they want to change into. In order to learn a new form, a familiar needs to study up on that specific animal. When they have learn enough about that animal, only then will they be able to transform into that animal. However, they can not transform into mystical creatures (such as dragons, merfolk, 'taurs, gryphons, etc.), and they most certainly can not transform into humans. They can not transform into dinosaurs either but only because they are extinct and as a result, they cannot study on them. Some people consider this type of familiar to be a mischievous species, but like any sentient being, it only depends on the person. They very much take offense to being called "imp". However, The rule does not apply if a different creature is called by that.

This is my very first shapeshifting OC. He's actually part of a pair that I made. Personally, I'm very proud of this character. I had him in my head for a long time, even before I found out about Piti. I originally wanted this character in a video game, but I couldn't think of what kind of game he would've been in. But I do plan on having him in certain media soon.
