In Dusty’s story, “New Animal Life”, in Ex-Earth, the Knables are nekkid anthro lions who live on a small island together. Roy and Helen don't have jobs but have lots of money for their entire life. Darryl and Diane don't go to school, but are well-educated and have several friends, including their own lion boyfriend and girlfriend who actually live with them. Darryl doesn't wear glasses anymore. As they life peacefully on their small island, they go on different adventures that resemble like cartoon shows.
