Starlight Past the Edge of Night

The oddest thing happened the other day, it was about an hour after dawn and a star appeared in the sky. It wasn't there for long, it could have easily been missed, but it was beautiful all the same. I was just wondering if you had seen it...

after this she was so startled that she flew straight home
and then she told her parents about how the stars are impossibly far away
so far away that the air can't reach them

... they claimed she had a fever and told her to go back to bed
