Have you ever wondered what goes on in the artistic endeavors of a Senior? What makes them tick?

"Devious Accents" is a feature/interview series of Senior Members here on deviantART that aims to surface key features of each Senior and to show them to the community as a whole, brought to you by dAseniors--the official group for Senior Members on deviantART!

Finally, thoughts and sentiments from the Senior-side are revealed to the general community. Let's get started! :la:

Joining us this week will be Minato-Kushina, a shining star with an undying spirit for the deviantART community!

monstash: Why did you decide to make the leap and become a deviant?

Minato-Kushina: I found deviantART randomly, 3 years ago, while searching on Google Images for "Naruto" pictures. My favorite anime that I watch until today. :D I wondered what this “green page" was, so I randomly signed up, without knowing it was the largest art community in the world!

Considering it was just a blog, I chose without much thought the names of two of my favorite "Naruto" characters: Minato and Kushina! And that's the story of this… famous username!

monstash: How long have you been a Senior member?

Minato-Kushina: Since Sunday, January 13, 2013, so I am a… young Senior! We have actually been in the same bunch of ticks! :highfive: Like Velox-Mortis said,  we are now the “fresh legs for the hamster wheel that powers this site!”

monstash: Have you ever had an art block? If so, how did you overcome it?

Minato-Kushina: I have never had an art block. On the opposite, I have so many drawings that are waiting to be colored one day! I have to upload more! I get involved so much with the deviantART (or other sites), browsing around a lot, that I don’t make my own art so often! XD

monstash: How do you feel in regards to the amount of attention that Seniors receive as opposed to the amount that non-Seniors (excluding Volunteers and Administrators) receive?

Minato-Kushina: Indeed, people many times see the tick in front of our name and think that we are a kind of important persons. The reality is that we are like all other deviants! Like them, we used to have the other symbols before this tick. :D

I remember my self during the first months in this site: when a person with a tìck or a hât visited my page or commented on my profile and artworks, I was super happy and surprised! Later, I realized what the real meaning of tick was! :giggle: Now, I am just too honored and grateful to have the same symbol as some legends of this site! <3

monstash: Lastly, is there anything you'd like to promote to the readers of this issue?

Minato-Kushina: I would like to promote the positivity (that already exists in this group!) to the non-Seniors who may read this article and wish to be part of this great team one day! Becoming a Senior is related, among other reasons, to the happy and helpful spirit you show everywhere. It’s something that becomes apparent to the others and makes them happy to talk to you and “feel like home”. Don’t do it just for this award though, but for the sake of happiness itself. ^^

Participate a lot in the Community, join groups, make feature journals and give random comments and faves or even donations and presents, if you can. I think it’s quite easy to please the others in this site! :D “Give and receive positivity” is what makes the Community go round.

And a bit of art promotion: some of my recent not accepted DD suggestions or faves. Give them all the attention they deserve! :)

Thank you a lot for this great interview, monstash and everyone who will read it! :blowkiss: Now, let’s continue to run in the site’s hamster wheel! :D :happybounce:

A big thanks to Minato-Kushina for taking the time to sit down with us and explain her sentiments on her deviantART experience from the Senior-side of the community!

Stay tuned to dAseniors to stay up-to-date with our Devious Accents features/interviews.
There are many more to come! :la:
