Tried to go for a bit of a screencap look, and decided to tack on a profile for this 'un since now we've got the 'full story' behind the settling of Third Earth... more or less. Lygress alone can be found here: [link]

History:

Lygress was born the 4th cub out of a family of 9, not including her parents, on a decent-sized farm a handful of leagues from the capitol city of Thundera. Each generation of her family would produce at least one particularly large cub such as herself, due to their mixed lion/tiger lineage. Their large stature, however, dwindled through the generations due to their tiger blood becoming more diluted with time, making Lygress the smallest liger cub of her family to date.

Their family began when a cub was born to a tigress and her lion mate shortly after the animal races began settling Thundera. Unwilling to relinquish her devotion to Mumm-ra, the tigress was forced to give up her daughter to her mate when she chose exile along with her fellow tigers. Realizing the stigma involved with a child of tiger descent, her mate opted to settle a small farm away from what would become the capitol and, in time, the farm grew and became a generational home for the family.

Thus Lygress grew up happy, but fairly isolated; only venturing out into the capitol city at the harvest time once she became big enough to handle most of the load alone. Her greatest joy, when not rough-housing with her smaller siblings, was hearing stories of her great-grandmother, Lilia's, adventures with her magic war-hammer. She longed to be an adventurer such as her, but her parents were content to keep her at the farm for help.

One night, as she and some of her siblings were out in the field preparing it for the next day, they came across a pair of injured refugees from Thundera. Bringing them inside to tend to their wounds, one of them recounted the horrifying story of the lizards' attack on the capitol and the reappearance of Mumm-ra to the family... but died shortly after of his wounds. The other cat died the next morning, and the family found themselves at a loss as to what to do. It would be only a matter of time before their farm was found, but they had nothing on-par with the technology of Mumma-ra.

Undeterred, Lygress insisted they fight when the time came and her father agreed -- to an extent. He lead her out to the barn and revealed a secret compartment that held her great-grandmother's warhammer; something she had been told was 'lost to time' until this moment. Instead of using it to try and defend their home, however, her father instructed her to seek out the prince as he knew his daughter alone, especially so inexperienced, would never have a chance against the legions threatening them now.

Though she didn't want to leave her family, Lygress knew she couldn't stay and hope to be of any use when the time came. She took up her family's war-hammer and set out on her quest -- to find their prince, and to train herself to become every bit the powerful hero her great-grandmother had been.

Personality:
Lygress is a practitioner of 'fair-play' and is unwilling to engage an opponent if they are weaker than herself... unless they push the issue. She will also match an opponent as evenly as she can -- if they are armed, she will use her hammer and if not, she will put it aside. She tries very hard to be gentle around smaller creatures but has a difficult time gauging her strength and usually comes off as clumsy or rough. She is also very basic and trusting in her thought processes and doesn't always get sarcasm or when she's being manipulated by others. Her patience is long, and rarely does her temper truly flare, but it is not infinite. That is usually when she shows just how "rough" she can be.
