Space Hero

Play shmup levels that other people have created in the game Space Lord!

Shoot everything and don't die! Use the mouse to move and shoot, or use the arrow keys and space bar.

I made this game with the artists Pat Kemp (~knivel) and Jim Burner and the composer Teo Acosta. Space Hero is the other half of Space Lord, which was originally our entry for the Ludum Dare 25 game jam in December. The theme was YOU ARE THE VILLAIN!

Space Hero is what happens when you take a game about being the villain, and then make it about being the hero again. In other words, people design levels by playing Space Lord, submit them to the Hall of Fame, and then you can test out the levels they've designed by playing Space Hero. I won't pretend this is the best shmup game ever made - it's mostly just a fun little experiment.

Space Lord is the second game jam game I've polished and released, after The Love Letter, which I made the year before with Pat and Teo. You should also try that game if you haven't already!
