The Lyoko Warriors, minus William, are on an urgent mission on the Cortex, with Odd at the wheel. Or at least, it seems like a mission. They race into the Core Zone, jumping from platform to platform, and Aelita goes to stand in front of the interface. Jeremy announces the result: 22 minutes and 12 seconds, a new record! Odd is the designated driver in case they need to implant the virus in an emergency… As long as Ulrich doesn’t beat his record, of course.
When they leave the Dome, the Megapod disappears before their eyes. It wasn’t Jeremy who did it, and he can’t manage to reprogram it. The mission is aborted and the Warriors are forced to return to the Skid on foot.
The next day, Jeremy still hasn’t found the source of the bug. The Megapod can no longer be virtualised and he has no idea why. Having been excused from PE because he sprained his wrist, he decides to go to the lab to keep working on the problem.
Outside PE class, Odd is anxiously waiting for a phone call. But it’s not a girl this time; he’s waiting to buy tickets to the next Pumpkin Machines concert. While raving about how good a band they are, he whacks Laura, causing her to drop all her books. Odd helps her pick them up. Among her possessions, the girl notices a business card, and she doesn’t know where she got it from. It’s the card Graven gave to her when she was still part of the group: the Quantum Research Center in Switzerland.
All is calm on the Cortex. Suddenly, the Megapod materialises. Jeremy figured out that it was a simple conflict with a scan he’d been running. And speaking of which, the program activates, detecting an activated tower on the Cortex.
At the school, Odd is disappointed that he missed out on the tickets. Jeremy calls him, saying he doesn’t know the nature of the attack, but he knows they have to deactivate the tower. Yumi skips science class, leaving William behind to make up an excuse to tell the teacher.
The Lyoko Warriors arrive in the Arena, happy to know they won’t need to cross the Cortex on foot. But they still don’t know exactly what XANA’s attack is, so they’re a bit unsettled.
Laura contemplates the card she found that morning and phones the number on it. She explains how she got the number. The voice on the other end arranges an interview via webcam.
The Megapod stops near a tower with a purple halo. The Lyoko Warriors can’t figure out what it means. Suddenly, five Ninjas appear, ready to attack. That’s when Jeremy understands: it wasn’t XANA who launched the attack, it was Tyron! The tower was just bait to lure them into a trap.
The Ninjas don’t attack however, they simply box their enemies in. A circle appears on the ground beneath the Warriors’ feet, soon becoming a giant sphere that forms around them, trapping them inside. Yumi is the only one who is able to escape before the sphere closes completely.
The trapped Lyoko Warriors find themselves back in PE class. Jim starts talking about how he hasn’t slept and Odd’s phone is confiscated, just like that morning. They’ve gone back in time. But when Jim repeats himself again and Odd’s phone is confiscated once more, they realise they haven’t just gone back in time, they’re stuck in a time loop!
Yumi tries to break into the sphere, but with no luck. There’s no sign from her friends and Jeremy has lost their signal, as if they’ve disappeared from the Cortex. William is sent in to help and given the Overbike.
The gym scene repeats again. Jeremy is the only one who can help, but they have no way of contacting him so long as they’re in the past. But then Aelita realises it’s not future Jeremy they need to call, it’s present Jeremy!
The scene begins again and Odd phones Jeremy, irritating Jim for the umpteenth time. Odd continues speaking, trying to stay far away from the angry teacher. But past Jeremy doesn’t believe him, thinking it’s one of his jokes. Jim confiscates the phone. But before Odd can be punished, the scene starts all over again. Past Jeremy hangs up and continues with his work.
Yumi’s fans do no damage to the sphere, and neither does William’s sword. On his end, Jeremy is unable to recover any data about the sphere…it’s as if it didn’t exist.
In her room, Laura excitedly awaits her interview. The clock ticks over to 1PM, her tablet beeps and Tyron’s face appears. Of course, Laura doesn’t recognise him. He asks how she got the card, but all Laura knows is that she happened to find it in her bag. Tyron talks about his establishment, a place where geniuses like Laura can work on their passions with the proper equipment…like a supercomputer, for example. But Laura tells him she’s never worked on one before, disappointing Tyron.
The PE scene starts again. Odd immediately climbs up the rope hanging from the ceiling and calls Jeremy again, far out of Jim’s reach. Jeremy still doesn’t believe him, but Odd manages to convince him he’s gone back in time by telling him about the bug with the Megapod, just before Jim causes him to drop his phone. Jeremy realises Odd must be telling the truth and sends a message to his future self.
Yumi and William are still having no luck with the sphere. Even the Megapod’s cannon can’t even scratch the surface. Jeremy is about ready to give up…when he receives a message from his past self. He learns his friends are trapped in a time loop…but why? After a moment, Jeremy deduces that Tyron can work on the same time sequence and receive a repeating signal coming from Kadic. He can locate the school.
Suddenly, the floor gives way underneath Yumi and William and causes them to fall. Thankfully they land on a lower platform, but the sphere rolls towards them and William falls into a hole in its surface.
In the gym, William suddenly appears next to the others.
Jeremy finds out they only have four more loops before Tyron has a good enough signal. But he still doesn’t know what to do about it. Yumi reminds him that altering time demands a lot of energy, which is why they limit the returns to the past. So if they bleed some energy from Tyron’s Supercomputer, they can break the loop. Jeremy sends her to the Core Zone to execute the plan.
The idea is to create a conflict between two programs – the same issue Jeremy encountered that morning. Yumi arrives at the interface and the genius sends her a card for her to insert. Three Ninjas appear. Only one loop remains before Tyron finds them.
Yumi puts up a good fight against the Ninjas. Suddenly the Core Zone’s energy disappears. The plan worked! The sphere vanishes, freeing the Lyoko Warriors. Yumi bows to the Ninjas, jumps off the platform and blows a kiss as she’s devirtualised.
In the lab, Jeremy and the others thank Yumi for her quick thinking. Tyron didn’t have enough time to localise them. However…
Tyron is very disappointed that Laura’s knowledge of quantum physics is only theoretical. But before he hangs up, he shows her some images of the Lyoko Warriors in virtual form and asks her if she recognises them. Yes, she says, they look like cartoon versions of Jeremy Belpois’ friends…
Code Lyoko Evolution on YouTube (update)
Hey everyone, it's been a while!
It's been a few years since Dargaud acquired the rights to Code Lyoko and started posting the episodes for free on official YouTube channels, with several channels for various languages. The rights for Evolution still belonged to someone else so they couldn't be posted. But now the licence has gone to Dargaud as well, and they've started posting the episodes on the official Code Lyoko channels!
Because the episodes (except one) were never dubbed into English, they've decided to keep the original French versions and add English subtitles. So far the English channel is the only one to start uploading episodes,
Dargaud and Code Lyoko
Hey guys, it's been a while! Just a quick update. And it's Code Lyoko rather than Evolution, but it's worth sharing!
As plenty of people may already know, there are now official YouTube channels for Code Lyoko in various languages, where the episodes have been uploaded in decent quality for free viewing. The English channel just reached episode 95, so the whole series can now be found there. Binge away!
But that's not all... Apparently, Dargaud has created an HD version of the series! No word on when or how it will be released yet, or how they made it HD, but it will be available in English as well as French. I guess it's not huge news, but
Moonscoop bought by Dargaud
First off, new avatar! I'm a GIF fan so a change was inevitable, but I admit the change from dark blue to yellow is a little weird at first.
Oh and another group-related note, please try to submit any non-CLE works directly to the "Other Code Lyoko" folder rather than Featured, it makes it a lot easier to sort ^^'
Secondly (old news), Canal J has aired episodes 20-26 and they're available in low quality French (unfortunately not on iTunes), links to which are available on the episode journal entries. Aaand I can't seem to find any subs for them...I'm probably just looking in the wrong place. If you know any links, drop them in the comments!
Canal J picks up CLE
Looks as though Canal J is about to break the episode hiatus!
While some French people are a little miffed about not having the channel, Canal J has started to air Code Lyoko Evolution with a rather strange schedule. I'm not going to try and explain, but in short, episodes 20-26 should be aired in mid-December, starting on the 13th and ending on the 20th. Here's the TV guide if you're curious.
Yeah, 3:34am. The episode on the 14th is listed as being Rivalry for some reason, but I think that's just a mistake.
Meanwhile, France 4 continues delaying the episodes, they're up to their second rerun of episode 10 now.

Dang it, even without her memory Laura is messing things up for them. -_-
