Mission Statement
This group aims to focus on uniting people and encouraging them to support each other through life. We will actively encourage members to share their stories and talk to each other to make new friends, we will discuss important issues that may affect our members and we will accept all artworks that deal with an emotional issue. This is not limited to mental health issues, and the group is open to anyone.

If you have an issue with another member whilst no moderation staff are in the room please contact the group via the group note function with chat log and explaination of what happened to be considered for a ban or a warning. Respect your moderation team. If you have an issue with a member of staff you can contact one of the founders (primarily PoetryOD or betwixtthepages) with a complaint. Please provide chat logs. No images of self harm, suicide or pornography INCLUDING representations of them (aka even if its within deviantART's TOS because its not real, please do not post these images in this room). All kicks and bans are at our moderation teams discretion. Don't feed the trolls. Use the ignore function! If you are linking to something (outside of DA or inside, including thumbs) please make sure its directed at the conversation and relevant. General blanket linking will be considered advertising and not part of a conversation. We are a support network based room, so there will be times when upsetting subjects may come up. Please be mindful of all other members - including those who enter after your conversation has begun. If anyone is uncomfortable with the topic please move it elsewhere. We want the room to be able to support people, but triggering other members is counter intuitive. Consider who else is in the room with you before you start a discussion and please make use of Trigger warnings. Swearings is allowed in the room however hostility directed at other members will be responded to on an individual basis by the moderators available. Please do not pester staff about being promoted, you can apply to become a member of our group or chat (or both) teams here and the administrative team will process it. Personal information is private. Do not ask for it or share other peoples information without their consent. This room is for everyone, however adult themes and topics may come up. Try to remain thoughtful to your audience. This room does not allow sexual interactions. Whilst it is acceptable and sometimes necessary to discuss suicidal thoughts and feelings this room will not tolerate the glamourisation of suicide. This can result in an immediate and permanent ban. We do not EVER discuss methods of self harm or suicide in this chatroom. Depending on context this can result in an immediate temporary ban whilst the administrative team decide whether or not it is safe for the rest of our members to allow you to continue using our chatroom. Please remember you are surrounded by potentially vulnerable people even if they don't, at that moment, seem to be in a bad space. Trigger warnings are commonly used to alert people around you that you may be about to discuss things that may 'trigger' them to have an unwanted response (usually emotional). Common trigger warnings are for conversations about suicidal thoughts, self harm, abuse, sex, violence etc. Please give your fellow chatters the opportunity to safeguard themselves by using trigger warnings. Please do not spam, floor or dump in the room. It's for chatting, not spamming! Be wary of capslock Comic sans is evil. You can use it, but its evil.
