BC Character: Aki

One of, if not, my main OC and main character to my comic pages, Black Cross. She was once my depiction of me but as the years went on she slowly began to become her own person. Now the only concete tie between me and her is that we share the same name.

Personality: Reserved for the most part finding difficulty in getting along with other vampires. She will come off as cold to many at first but hold the few that she befriended over the years in high regard. Unbeknownst to many, Aki is capable of a very affectionate and loving side which has so far only been demonstrated with her creations who reside in her Zoo. She has a hard time trusting and relying on others which sometimes leads to her getting severely hurt in the field but remains loyal to the friends who fight along side her.

Bio: She was born into a Catholic family in a village who practiced the in the same fashion. Aki had a firm belief in her deity growing up even after the death of her mother at the age of 9. Following her mother's death, her father grew cold and distant towards his children leaving their upbringing to Aki and her younger brother by one year. She held no ill will unlike her brother who resented his father for leaving his job as a parent to his eldest daughter so abruptly. In 1720, she was taken from her home by the village authorities by order of the church. Imprisoned for a year under the charges of witchcraft Aki began to gradually lose hope and faith until she was found guilty at her trial and sentenced to death. Before her public execution, Aki had come to terms with her death and how her faith in her god and her people betrayed her, relinquishing her faith a moment before her beheading. At some point after, She had awakened to find herself alive and her head reattached, but imprisoned in a windowless cell for thress years. During that time, she was experimented on by an eccentric Rogue vampire and denied her first taste of blood. One day, a nurse making her rounds had accidentally cut herself as she left a small blood trail past Aki's cell which was just enough to empower her and escape. Following the slaughter of every being within the facility with their own blood, which had learned she could control, she encountered the sisters ,Remilia and Cassandra who had orders from the Underdark to destroy the doctor and his research. They spared her after realizing she did not have the affinity to manipulate blood but water itself making her one of the four chosen to have an affinity for one of the elements. They took her in and both trained her for many years, Aki growing partial to Cassandra and her teachings. One day, Cassandra betrayed the two and attempted to kill Aki who tried to stop her Mistress from leaving before disappearing and never seen or heard from again. After her first revival, Aki had once again grown cold and felt foolish to trust someone so blindly, vowing to get stronger and one day kill Cassandra by her hand. She left her only Mistress and began to travel as a Nomad while working for the Underdark every now and then. Accumulating a generous amount of wealth, Aki purchased a plot of land along a mountainside to build her manor. Eventually she joined the Research and Development sector of the Underdark and excelled quickly up the ranks before deciding to perform research of her own. As a result Aki created an unknown number of creatures that reside in her manor's Zoo. Her land stretches to several thousand acres and is home to the tribe of Wolf Shifters she had promised to allow to stay there from now on. Despite her inability to fully trust again, Aki has befriended many powerful allies over the years and houses a few in her Mansion itself.

In the early years after her transformation Aki had been infused with a Parasite of Darkness who took of the name "Alice". To prevent Alice from completely controlling her through her bloodstream which has began to turn black, Aki has been taking daily doses of Wolfsbane to slow her heart rate and the rate of it spreading. Presently, Aki is dedicating her time to researching the Parasites and their purpose as well as the Dark Arts and Pure Magicks.
