When it comes to business or her craft however, this is where she comes from her shell. If one is to bring up an artistic subject, she'll brighten up immediately and become more relaxed towards socializing. She tends to be rather hard on herself, and as such has a large worry of what other people will make of her. History:

Born to a Staravia mother, and a Pidgeotto father, the little Starly met much love and praise from an early age. The couple had continually been trying for a child within their years of marriage, but all effort had come to no avail. They'd all but given up, when the mother supposedly fell ill. Worried for his beloved, the man would bring his wife to a doctor, only to learn that their efforts had finally granted them their wish. The months would pass, and at last their daughter be born. A tiny Starly girl held within the woman's arms.

The two new parents would be so overjoyed in her arrival, that they would name the girl Huan Qui, after the joyous day of autumn that had finally brought her to them. As the years passed, Huan Qui would grow into a happy child, always seeming to have her nose into every last thing. She was an adventurous girl, digging in dirt, trying to climb trees, and even wandering off one too many times for her mother's liking. Though she was continually scolded for such things, the interest never left her. And it was never long before she'd be off again, sneaking out from under her parent's watchful gazes whenever she'd found opportunity.

It was within one of these particular opportunities, that the girl would choose to explore a small patch of wild. Fascinated by the long stalks of bamboo, and the various plants about the area, she would press onwards. As the path narrowed and became more dilapidated, the starly would have to climb over fallen patches and branches. After some time, she would push herself through a narrow collection of bamboo and come out to a sight that would stick with her, even into adulthood. Before her eyes, was a stone shrine..covered in thick patches of moss with the light from the sky above shining down through the tall stalks and onto the object. The particles in the air mixed with the light cast a sparkling effect over it, capturing and holding the girl's attention. Transfixed, she couldn't help but to move closer to it, taken by an incredible urge to have a better view of this wonderful and beautiful thing before her.

Approaching, she'd reach out a hand and softly run her fingers over the cool stone. Peering towards the inside, her eyes would widen in an even larger marvel. Sitting there..was a little dragon! But how did it get there and why wasn't it moving? Befuddled, she'd reach forwards to poke at it-the action being halted by a loud yell from behind her. Giving a startled shriek, the girl would hop and dart away from the shrine. Rustling sounds and stalks parting would reveal her father, out of breath and with an expression of worry and relief. Sighing, he'd move forwards to scoop the little bird into his arms, nuzzling her cheek and expressing of how she should never, ever run off without either of them. About to leave, the man would be halted by complaining squeaks from his daughter. Pausing, he'd look to her questioningly -which would earn the question of- "But daddy! What about the little dragon? It's not moving.." To his confused expression, she'd point urgently towards the shrine.

Kneeling and peeking inwards, he'd let off a soft chuckle and offer back to her. "Oh my little starbird..it's only a statue! It's not actually able to move, so there's nothing to worry of it. You see...it is made of clay, of earth, like this." he'd offer her, reaching with one hand to scoop up some dirt and let it fall between his fingers. Interest piqued, the girl would fire off question after question about the little object, her father obliging lightheartedly as he set off back toward their home. By the time the two had reunited with her mother, she had gained the knowledge of sculpture..how certain kinds of earth could be sculpted by hand, into such things as that dragon..and even the dishes that they would eat out of! Someone had made those out of the same earth.

From that day forward, a spark had ignited in her chest. She no longer explored nearly as much, but rather went on hunts for the clay. More often than not, the girl would be drawing in the dirt with her fingers, or using their writing material to scribble on...everything else in their home. Rather happy with the decrease in her wandering off, the two birds would support their daughter's new interest. Every year for her birthday, she would receive a quality lump of clay. Though as time went by, the starly wouldn't find too terrible an interest in others. Completely content to work with her craft, she found socializing to be less than appealing. It was always a nervous endeavor when her mother would bring her to meet the other children about the area. She hadn't met a single person yet that she got along with..all of the others seemed more refined, or well behaved than the little starly was; often finding some issue with her. Only with the offer of showing one of her creations to them, would the girl find interest. Maybe that would be the thing they'd like?

She would take what she thought to be her best work, a small slightly warped pot. She'd been so happy when her mother had expressed her liking of it, that she likened how the others would react to just that. However, it wouldn't go anything like what she had imagined, the starly finding harsh critique in the pot's slight disfigurements. Though it wouldn't stop there, the commentary moving on towards her own appearance. Pulling at her clothes, tugging on strands of hair and mocking how her hands were filthy always being lined with dirt, among many other comments. After long enough, she'd break away from them and run to her mother, shoving her face into the woman's hip and hiding. Having been chatting with the other mothers, she'd look to her daughter in slight confusion before waving a goodbye to the women and patting the girl's head. Some time of convincing would have the story come out, and the woman sigh. She'd assure her daughter that such opinions were nothing to trifle of, if she herself was pleased, and leave it at that. From then on however, the starly found an unwavering worry to come into her head whenever approaching others.

As she grew into a woman, and her skills increased..the girl would open a small artisan business from their home, selling such things as pots or bowls. Making small sculptures on the side as more of a hobby toward herself. She became able to take commentary of her work, seeing as..nobody really seemed to want a bowl that was uneven on one side, or a pot with crooked handles. This she could liken to simply being good business quality. Comments of herself however, were still something the girl often feared. She kept highly to herself, aside when doing business, and buried herself within her craft. Becoming worried, her parents gently chided and pushed the starly towards moving outwards and exploring again. She would be against the idea of it, until her father would be carried home in a cot, wounded. It'd seemed a tauros had run rampant, and the poor man found himself in it's path. With the main earner of what supported them unable to work for what could be dangerously long, she'd agree to travel. All around the area that had interest, had already gathered what she could make. Packing up her things and supplies, she'd make her way further inwards toward the Wei kingdom, hoping to set up shop and earn money to send home.
