So it occurs to me that this might just be simpler:

There are 7 High Races and 7 Low Races and they are as follows:

High Races

Fairy- Pretty self- explanatory. They have butterflyesque wings and have ranges between weak magic and super-powerful magic. They’re usually no taller than a human’s knee, but no smaller than half-way up a human’s lower leg.

Gnome- Usually about as tall as half-way up a human thigh, gnomes are clever and vastly intelligent, not to mention superb inventors, but their skills in magic and on the battle field are lacking.

Dwarf- Powerful, ranging in height from a human hip to a human’s breast bone, the dwarves are strong, sturdy, and their little girls are manlier than you can ever hope to be. They are, stereotypically, excellent miners, forgers, and warriors.

Elf- Same height and general appearance as humans, but they live longer, are more adept at magic, and have an alluring sense of grace. They are, unfortunately, more fragile than most races, however, and do not fare well when it comes to taking a hit.

Boris- Humanoid creatures with animal attributes, such as claws, cat ears, tails, scales, horns, increased senses of smell or sight, and/or wings. Various skills and attributes change with the different animal. Boris children are NOT the same animal-species as their parents. A tiger-boris and a squid-boris could raise a biological child falcon-boris. There is little logic to it.

Human- Duh.

Giant- Large humans, though typically gentle in nature. Their strength is size-based, and proportionately is incomparable to Dwarves. They are usually two to three heads taller than humans. They, like humans, are not highly skilled in magic, as a whole, but they are sturdy and hard workers.

Low Races

Spidren- Giant spiders with human/elf/boris heads. They are animalistic in nature, and do not have the ability to choose between good and evil. They drink blood, and eat flesh.

Ogre- Akin to giants, although they are vomit-colored and incredibly unintelligent. They lead out brutish lives, yet are violent only when provoked. Typically they dwell in hard, scraggly mountainous or desert regions and live by hunting. They have the ability to make a willing choice between good and evil.

Grawling- Miniature ogres. They are the height of dwarves, take the same appearance of ogres (although their skin tones are generally darker shades), and are dumb as nails. They are less brutish than ogres, but are still violent and primitive. They have the ability to make a willing choice between good and evil.

Minotaur- Thickly muscled half-giants with the heads of bulls and hairy, bull-like arms. They are the second most intelligent of the low races, although they still tend to act more on instinct and emotion than intellect. They are easily swayed by emotion, but have been known to show cunning. They have the ability to make a willing choice between good and evil.

Lizalfolk- Lizard creatures that walk on their hind legs. They are similar in size and build to the elves, but the rest of their appearance is completely akin to an overgrown lizard’s. They’re fast, and their claws and short fangs are sharp enough to pierce dwarven steel. However, unlike lizards, who can re-grow their tails if their tails are cut off, lizalfolk can re-grow their limbs, heads, and even their entire upper body, but they die the moment their tail is severed from their body. 90% of their organs are located in the tail with only nerves and bones making up the majority of the rest of them. The tip of their tail must also be submerged in water every 3-4 hours so the gills, located on the tip, can extract enough oxygen to support them for the next 3-4 hours. They do not have the ability to choose between good and evil.

Rompa- Smarter than lizalfolk and spidren, yet dumber even than grawlings and ogres, the rompa are simple creatures. They are shy by nature, and are often described as rabbit-like. Their heights range from dwarven height to half-giant height, and their entire body is coated in soft fur. They won’t eat any kind of meat other than fish, and live in massive burrows in the ground closely together. They greet each other, say farewell, and show any form of mild-to-strong emotion by hugging the person they are interacting with. Rompa are entirely useless in a fight, unless they are acting as stable-hands for the horses and dragons. Rompa are, however, excellent animal trainers. They have the ability to make a willing choice between good and evil.

Quis- Humanoid-fish creatures. They are characterized by their blue, blue-green, and green skin tones, ear fins, large eyes, and gills located on their torsos. They also have elongated fish tails and a small layer of webbing between their fingers and toes. Although they can have fish scales, they often times do not and rather have a sleek, almost slimy looking exterior. Their minds are not as advanced as those of the high races, but their thought processes are far more advanced- as a whole- than the other six low races. They have a separate language of their own, which they speak in whilst underwater seeing as Common is difficult to understand when submerged. They have the ability to make a willing choice between good and evil.

The twelve races capable of choosing between good and evil are referred to as “Kthal” which means “People.”

Most Kthal speak Common, which is basically English.
So yeah.
This is for my story Shadow Sage (fav.me/d6gpcm8)
These are the races that show up there... I really don't expect people to read this unless they're reading the story and have this open in a separate tab XD

I think I love the Rompa and Quis people, they just seem so awesome.
