The USS Venerator in Slipstream

The Ferryman class USS Venerator was commissioned for active duty on stardate 159659.9 from the New Kronos starship foundry. She is apart of a new wave of multi-role starships that can be seen performing all range of duties, from dedicated scientific exploration to ambassadorial missions, to front-line skirmishes with Borg vessels. In particular, the Venerator's typical duty assignments are scientific or exploratory in nature, usually far from the front lines of the war. However, she still carries a full compliment of phasers, torpedoes, shields, and cloaking system, should the need arise.
Due to the Ferryman class of vessels having been designed during the seemingly ceaseless war with the ever-advancing Borg, The USS Venerator has many unusual features. She is capable of standard warp drive, up to 9.99996, as well as sustained Quantum Slipstream drive. And thanks to her second-generation Torres nacelles, she is able to attain these velocities in both forward and reverse movement. As such, she is equipped with a secondary, dorsal deflector dish. Her primary deflector dish, as with many of her sub-processing and power transfer systems are designed with Borg-inspired self-regenerating circuitry. The defensive systems, Venerator also has a standard multi-phasic shield, a Klingon-built Koloth mark II cloaking device, and neutronium micro-laminate armor.
