Contest - FOLDER CLOSED // VOTING PROCESS SOON

*UPDATE*

The official deadline for this once open-ended contest will be Friday January 31st. All entries must be in by this date, then a poll will be created to start the voting process. This is a new year and I look forward to seeing many more wonderful pieces added to the group gallery and meeting new members. I want to thank all of you so much for making the last 2 years a fun and amazing experience! I know all of us have busy schedules, but I hope to see a little more participation this year from everyone. Always looking for new ideas to keep the group fresh, so any suggestions/contest ideas/folder options/etc are welcomed and encouraged. I want to hear from you if you have something on your mind, so don't hesitate to speak up!

To those of you that have already submitted to the folder, your entries are STILL VALID. But, you may also submit a new work to the contest if you like. To those of you that haven't, here are a few things you should know and that should help get you started.

You guys know me by now, that I don't like rules. So, there will only be a few basic ones to keep the chaos to a minimum, while still allowing everyone's creativity to flow freely.

Contest Rules:

Contest deadline will be November 16th, which is 2 months from now. This is to allow everyone plenty of time to get their pieces in order, or more than one if you want. NO LIMIT ON SUBMISSIONS.

You MUST combine the two themes, 'Trippy/Psychedelic' and 'Sci-Fi/Fantasy'. The elements need to be clearly visible, so go bold and don't hold back! It can be anything from abstract to realism, doesn't matter to me as long as it combines the two themes.

Submissions need to be placed in the correct folder, because if they aren't, I'm not going to play 'guess if this an entry' by flipping through the folders trying to find it. Also, you must state in your description or title that it is for this contest.

 Entry can be on ANY surface. Skin, paper, a box of Cheerios, a pair of undies, your dog, your mom's car......I don't care, as long as you keep to theme and use Sharpies.

Please keep the mixed media to a minimum. I don't mind it, but for contests I want the focus to be on Sharpies and your ability to use them. Any skill level is accepted, so don't be shy! This is NOT an elitist group!

FIRST PLACE will receive a 3 month premium membership or membership extension. The winner will also receive a feature of their selected works on my profile and on the group journal.

                2 HONORABLE MENTIONS will receive 50
