Personality
Nature:
Always willing to lend a helping hand or a shoulder to friends. The Voivode is known for being calm and fair in the face of adversity, and is not one many would care to cross. His patience hides a great military mind and well-honed talents as a warrior. He seems always in control of his emotions, rarely displaying more than a flicker of displeasure or anger towards anyone. He is quick with his smiles, but they rarely reach his eyes, instead falling prey to a haunted sort of pain in their depths that never seems to dissipate.

History
Current/Basic Bio:
Full History:
Born in 1320 C.G.K Samael Lochesh was the eldest of his father's children, and the only one born from his mother. Firenze died giving birth and Samael was left to his father's steadily increasing wrath. Vlad never allowed the boy to call him father, and made his later wives do the same. His erly life was spent training and protecting his half-siblings from the dangers within their home and without.
He was killed in his eighth year of life, awakening his Daemon, however his grandfather, a vampire himself, was able to put it 'back to sleep' and the boy continued to age for the next eighteen years.
At thirty Astorote died a second time, murdered by f'kar, but he was saved by an elder vampire; being turned fully even as his daemon rewoke. The woman, Morgana, became the first real mother figure in Astarote's life, and he joined her family as a Dragulia. Having been declared dead in battle.
Fifteen years later Astarote's world shattered again when hunters attacked, and his mother's castle was destroyed; with her and his brother inside. The vampire took those of the servants who would follow and left, searching out a fabled valley that was once home to the House. Deepwick.
After settling them here the Vampire went back to Sajahuta, Scwelderaede House, and confronted the man who had haunted his life from birth, and who had sent the hunters after them. What he found was a nightmare, all the servants cowed, his sister locked up and her own Vampire awoken, and Vlad. The two fought, and after an attempt to stab the young soldier in his back, Vlad was thrown down the stairs. Dying when he landed on his own blade, and none of the servants took any pity on the dying tyrant. Helping the young Voivode free his sister instead, and supporting his claim of the Manor.
With the wars over Astarote was the eldest Lochesh warrior still living, and thus he was given charge of the Voivodate. Taking Scwelderade and the valley for his own and training his sister as Morgana had trained him.
Twenty years later His sister set out on her own, and Astarote withdrew almost completely to Deepwick, the valley had become a haven for many since he had taken over the fort. A village had sprung up in its shadow, but even so the vampire- now with nothing to focus on- fell into a depression. Grieving, finally, for those he had lost. For many years he was despondent, going through routine habitually and searching for any trace of his family that might have survived.
Astarote was almost six hundred when a new face entered the valley, a band of Travellers in clan Abhartach seeking refuge from hunters. The foxkin intrigued him, and seemed to take an immediate liking to the Voivode. Soon enough Adriana was trying to pull the now-elder vampire from his melancholy. The woman ensured he ate and helped with the daily tasks of running the village. She kept him alive, and slowly succeeded in bringing life back into the old warrior.
A hundred years later the pair were married, and they led a decent life, even as the fear of age began to creep up on the Voivode. He did not think he could loose another, but could he turn the woman he loved?
At eight hundred the Vampire got a surprise. Adriana was expecting, and the two celebrated accordingly. The woman wanted to return home for the birth, and so they did. As too did the hunters that always plagued a vampire's steps. Astarote managed to lead most away, but one was not fooled by the warrior's ruse, and he found his wife bleeding out as their daughter fought to enter the world. that was the night he turned her, saving mother and daughter both.
