Artist Note:
At last, a character with no alt forms. That means more space for other stuffs!
I actually designed Malachite based on Brief from PS&G.
Being the only character without a tragic or complex backstory, Malachite is probably the most well adjusted member of the crew (if you disregard his tinker eccentricities). As such, his "proper" upbringing made him a valuable "life" adviser to the crews. Due to his short stature and unruly hair, the other crew members rarely gets to see his eyes. Which is fortunate because his bright blue innocent eyes will melt anyone's heart, making him more popular than the protagonist. His pet cat Gnocchi is probably the only one who gets to enjoy his eyes regularly (The reason she chose to follow him?).

Attire:
Ship bound gnome mechanics tends to go barefooted because they can tell a ship/machinery's condition just by feeling the vibrations. For tinkers, it is always important to be in-tuned with the machines.
Needs a lot of pockets + Nerd = Pik*chu Fanny Pack.

Tattoos:
Nothing fancy on the gear tattoo. I'd say the circuit board tattoo was made to cover a square shaped burn scar. Ack, I forgot about the tinker brand behind the neck...

Tools:
Malachite loves his tools like a proper gnome. Problem is, the custom made tools also tends to look like junk. The difference between a junkyard and Malachite's room is lost to most of the crew. Treating his tools like junk (or junk like his tools) is big no-no for Malachite.
