Description

(Updated)

A Conceptual Faction Map for the Historically Wrong Sketch Series - Project Blood and Steel Historically Wrong Sketch Project: Blood and Steel by Gambargin, set after the Medieval Revisited Series based on the Early Modern warfare of late 16th Century to 17th Century. The Map will serve as my reference for the various Women Warriors which i will be depicting in their battle/court attires respective to the generalized culture that they represent.

This is a revision after receiving many correspondences in order to better organize the gallery and catalog all my previous drawings for the dedicated era prior starting the medieval revisited series. As we know, this is the era where we see the rise of great nations and empires, like that of Spain, Ottomans, Persians, the Netherlands, Mughals, Russia, Polish Lithuanian-Commonwealth and many others. It is also an era where empires conquered and colonized the new world and orient, bringing richest and commodities, and in return, earning the rivalries of great power which flourished the Piracy of the ocean. The War in this era are bloody, and the ambition of its rulers would changed how the world it's shaped. An era, of Blood and Steel!

The regions represented in the map is by no means culturally, timely and geo-politically accurate. They are simply to pinpoint the region on which the Women Warriors will be depicted from. After all, there is a lot of anachronism in the historically wrong sketch series...but certainly any feedback is most welcomed to make the series more enjoyable.

I hope by compiling this, people can use it as one stop reference should they wish to see early modern women warriors of various cultures. The current scope will have at least about 35 - 40+ depictions of Women Warriors unique in their representation.

At the moment, it is still left in an unfinished state as my main focus is on the medieval series.

Awesome map and scenario!
Especially the East of Europe.
Until recently I was quite ignorant about Eastern European history. Thank Andrzej Sapkowski for raising my interest about it.
Since then I love the idea of a historical / pseudo-historical setting focused on the
PolishLithuanian Commonwealth, the  Cossack Hetmanate and the Crimean Khanate. And the Kingdom of Hungary remaining an independent power? Even better!  Not mention the rising Electorate of Brandenburg-Prussia mixing things up.
Would be nice to see a game and/or novel about such a setting XD
But anyway, your warrior picture are great illsutrations for this an idea.
