When and how did you become interested in creating Equine related artworks?
I have always been interested in horses and always been drawing them. As most Swedish you girls I was a fan of lena Furberg but in early years I got my own kind of style and not copying hers. In the beginning I almost always drew unicorns which started when me and a friend of the familys daugther (older than me) did a unicorn comic together.

What is your favorite and least favorite aspect of creating Equine art?
My favorite aspect must be the equine itseflf. I have always been fascinated by ther power, anatomy and essence of freedom. It's very lovley when you catch that in a drawing. My least favorite is the anatomy. The legs are always to thick/long/short.. gosh it's a pain.


Do you have any tips or advice for beginners?
Draw and draw and draw. Don't be afraid of drawing something else once in a while. Often more diffrent subjects in a drawing will improve your equine art. Don't be afraid to not have perfect anatomy, just try to catch movement and a feeling of the drawing. Another tip is not to be shy with colours and light/shadow. And never forget... you can always ask for help, no need to be shy as most equine artist on dA are very helpful and generous.

Are there any equine artists that inspire you?
Old equine art inspires me, the anatomy often rather messed up but the feeling is captured beautifully. Other than that not so many equine artist inspire me as I'm more inspired by watching competitions, being around horses and other artists that maybe not be equine but makes beautiful art.

Closing thoughts:
Going out in the wilderness to pick berrys or mushrooms or just taking an off road walk often helps me get inspiration and become motivated. let nature inspire you, as it's full of colours and amazing things. I love it and recommend everyone to try it at least once. Be creative and dareing, try to draw that motive you always wanted even if you are not sure if you can get it your way.
