Lately, I've really wanted some stories to read and I've really wanted to draw some chibis, so I came up with a way to do both. In a nutshell, I'll draw an ultra chibi for everyone who writes me a story. Offer closes December 31, 2013 11:59:59 EST. (I also have a special birthday offer that ends October 26). How does it work? Look over the type of stories I'm looking for (fan-fiction and original fiction), choose one, write it, send me a link, then wait for your art. Most art should be finished within the week.*

Run your story through a spellcheck. It won't catch all the errors, but it's the least you could do.
Keep all the characters in character. That's for both fan-fiction and original fiction. I'll give details about OCs and I'm assuming you know the source material if you choose fan-fiction.
Writing something that I didn't request. There's a lot of options here with a lot of leeway on the writing. If you can't find something you want to write, move on. Don't write something for yourself and try to get me to do art for you.
Lying. Don't try to get me to draw a canon character by passing it off as original. Don't say you wrote 5,000 words when you know you didn't (my word counter). Don't say you wrote something if you didn't (no plagiarism-duh!). Don't lie.
Formatting the story so badly, I cannot read it. There should be a line of white space between paragraphs. There should not be one giant paragraph. When a new character speaks, a new paragraph should be started. If the formatting is bad, I will explain how to fix it. If you're unwilling or too lazy to make the changes, our agreement is void.
Making your OCs the main characters. You're going to get art for your OCs, can I get a story with mine or canon characters? However, creating a character for a story, like a villain is fine, but I do have over 20 characters for you to choose from. (Also, don't try to slip in your OCs. It's evident in the writing when you have a personal investment in the character and goes back to the second point)
Writing anything other than prose. Prose is standard story format. That means no poetry, no scripts, no screenplays. (I will accept video stories or animated stories, but we'll have to discuss the trade first.)

*If the art will take longer than a week, I will send you a note about it. It's first come, first served. I'll draw the chibis in the order I receive the stories. This also depends on how many chibis I have to draw.

1 normal size chibi = 3 ultra chibis (only available with at least 5,000 words)
Ex. You've written 5,000 words. You could get 4 ultra chibis + 1 normal size chibi OR 1 ultra chibi + 2 normal size chibis. You must specify if you want to exchange the ultras. The exchange rate from normal to ultra is 1:1. So, 4 ultra chibis + 1 normal size chibe = 5 ultra chibis.
For now, I'm only drawing original/fan characters with little to no animal parts. No canon characters. No anthros. Only females for the normal sized chibis (it might change, so check back later). All chibis, ultra and normal, will be fully colored and shaded.
If you happen to write more words than you have characters, I'm willing to do simple custom characters designs, alternate clothing designs, genderbent characters, humanized characters, etc so the trade is still equal. If you happen to write more than 15,000 words, let me know and we can work something out. I love long stories, so I'd be totally okay with that.

Story Ideas
Must Not Have: Incest, Bestiality, Slavery, Pedophilia, Hate/Bashing anything; Non-con/Rape; Anthros; Time-Travel; Teacher/Student Relationships; Polyamory;
Rating: No gratuitous violence, gore or sex. Use your discretion.
Pairing: I prefer Gen or MxM, but I have no problem with MxF or FxF. As a rule of thumb, the longer the story is the less romance there should be. I like long and plotty or short and romantic.
Plot: For fan-fiction, choose one of the plots and write. For original fiction, choose one of the plots and any of these characters and write.

Dragonball Z
[VegetaxBulma] After Cell or Buu, Vegeta and Bulma are as blissful as those two can be. They've settled into a routine of domesticity and they're focused on taking care of their little family. A ship touches down on Earth, containing a female Saiyan. Ultimately, Vegeta decides to stay (if he even considers leaving). However, I'd love to see a realistic portrayal of the Briefs meeting a female Saiyan. How does Vegeta react? How does Bulma react? What does this female think of her prince living on Earth? Has Vegeta met her before? Is she good or evil? Notes: Don't break up the family. If you have a female Saiyan OC, I don't mind if you use her, but this character is not the focus of this story. It's about Vegeta, Bulma and whatever children they may have. Also, this female cannot be younger than Goku or related to either Goku or Vegeta.
[Canon Pairings] Basically the daddy issues that Gohan or Goten have (and we know they have them) come out and one or both of them take Goku to task for how he's abandoned them over the years. Could be after he decided not to be wished back Earth after Namek exploded. Could be after he decided not to be wished back to life after Cell. Could be after he left to train with Uub. He has Instant Transmission; why didn't he use it? He could have looked in on his family during the seven years he was dead; why didn't he? He decides to use his one day on Earth to participate in a tournament; why. Why? Why? Why? Note: could also address how Chi-Chi feels about it, but it should focus on the boys.
Yu Yu Hakusho
[No pairings] Hiei decides to let Yukina get to know him a bit before he announces that they are related. They get closer and Yukina sees him as a good friend. She reveals the true reason why she is looking for her brother. She has been exiled from the Ice Maidens until she can remove the fire in her heart by killing the evil twin that survived. Notes: Neither Yukina nor Hiei are evil. Yukina has been 'brainwashed' by the Ice Maidens into believing that her twin is evil and needs to die. Neither of them should die in this story. The focus of the story should be on Hiei and Yukina, but other characters can definitely make an appearance.
[No pairings] Shuichi Hatanaka is approached by some cloaked figure and told that there is a demon inhabiting his brother's body. He takes it upon himself to save his older brother from this possession. Could be humorous (I'd love humorous), but Shuichi could also stumble upon something that could actually hurt Kurama. Maybe the mysterious figure is misguided and incompetent or maybe he's trying to get Shuichi to do his dirty work. Note: The focus should be on the brothers, but other characters can of course make an appearance.
General
Bromance Stories. Bromance in this case is a really, strong friendship between two or more people. So, take any of the following bromantic couples and create a story about them. The characters can have significant others, but the story should focus on how significant the bromantic characters are to each other. I've also included characters that canonically have been lukewarm or hostile to each other, but I would like to see them forced to interact/work together for the duration of the story.

Choose characters from the Character List and write them in the following plots.
[No Pairings] C1, codenamed Snow White, is a highly intelligent specialist who has memorized a piece of code and has to be guarded by a set of bodyguards, codenamed the Dwarves (at least two). Unfortunately, C1 also has the survival skills of a lemon and the street smarts of a rock. Efforts to keep C1 from killing his/her-self are made difficult by enemy spies and the shadowy figure in charge of them, codenamed the Queen, but mainly C1. Basically, Snow White as a spy thriller.
[No Pairings] C1, codenamed the Hunter, and his friends are well-known for their knack for tracking down missing things. A little girl, codenamed Little Red, goes missing and her wealthy family hires the Hunter to find her. He discovers the kidnapper is in the top ten of the Most Wanted Criminals (beside Rumpelstilskin, Maleficent, and the Queen) and is known only by his codename, the Wolf. Except, the Hunter knows the Wolf. And the Wolf is not exactly human, but well neither is the Hunter. The Hunter and the Wolf have been locked in the age-old battle between vampire and werewolf. And the Wolf would have been a much better codename for the Hunter... Basically, Little Red Riding Hood as a supernatural mystery. Note: Let me know if it's unclear who the vampire and who the werewolf is. Also, I'm a big fan of werewolf pack dynamics.
[No Pairings or MxM] C1 buys (or finds) a new pet. He's showing it off to some friends (at least two) when it begins to speak to him. It tells him of a destiny where their group needs to defeat this evil organization and collect all the dragon scales (at least three scales) and give them superhuman abilities. They transform and come up with super cool superhero names and go off to fight crime and also find the scales. They come across people in this evil organization and those people imply that C1 and his friends are in the evil organization. Turns out one of the others got a talking pet to give them some powers. They track down the scales and confront the shapeshifter manipulating them.
[No Pairings] A mad scientist has created a ray to give him/her-self unimaginable powers of destruction. A mishap causes the ray to go awry and infects some people (at least three). She has to pretend to be the head of an organization of superheros in order to gather all the people into one room so she can suck up all that power again and give it back to herself. However, one of the people infected decides to become a supervillain, thus making him an accidental superhero. She convinces the superheros to capture the supervillain, but he continues to elude them. Eventually, the supervillain and superheros need to realize the mad scientist is mad and defeat her evil plot.

I have a bunch of characters that I've been developing for years that I would love to have stories written for them. There are multiple generations of these characters, so you'll have an extensive list to choose from. However, these characters are really important to me. These are the rigid characters on the list. I'm going to be a hardass about who can write them. There will be like an application and hoops of fire to jump through. But I'd probably give extra art for them.

As the title says, I'm looking for a lot of cheap adopts. I'm a writer and I have quite a few stories in the works with quite a few characters in each of them. When I'm in the writing zone I don't like to slow down to design a character in order to describe a character so I just slap down the very basics (usually just hair, skin and eye color) and keep going. I want to draw my own characters more often, except now I just don't have the wherewithal to create designs for all the characters that need it.
