Amazonos Ch. 19: The FallenAs they set up their campsite, the three realize this may take some time. Amazonia took notice of the wild swine that were plentiful in the woods as she looked to Ariel and Cleon. “There seems to be plenty of game in these woods. Perhaps we can do better than just fruit for a meal.” She says as she grabs her spear.
“We are going to need firewood as well.” Ariel replies, which catches Cleon’s attention.
“I could fetch us some wood.” She volunteers as she reaches for a small axe-like instrument. “I don’t want to be a useless participant.”
Ariel smiled as she simply rummaged through her satchel. “Fine, I’ll finish setting up the camp then.”
Amazonia and Cleon then took their instruments and strolled off into the woods while Ariel unpacked and attempted to bring some order to the area. It was some 30 minutes later as she was busy clearing an area for the three to sleep that she felt a presence. As she turned arou

Amazonos Ch. 21: SistersPolymede found little solace inside the home she shared with her husband. The silent deafness that was left in the wake of his death seemed to make her softer then she was before. When Ariel found her, she was in the sitting room going over some of Maro’s belongings. As she entered, she would glance up to see her thought-lost daughter come running to her. The look of grief upon her face lessens as she smiles when Ariel runs into her arms and they embrace. Ariel weeps softly into her mother’s bosom as she comforts her with a loving smile and slowly rocks her youngest daughter.
“I am sorry, mother…so sorry…” Ariel says as she weeps, her tears falling onto her clothing as she looks up to her mother. “I didn’t mean for you to worry so much and now…hearing about…”
“I know, my child, I know. I’m just thankful that you as well are still among us.” Polymede replied as she gently smiled at her daughter.
