She can get very jealous and protective of her stag and does not always approve of a harem unless she is the favorite. Although she may seem quite tough, she is scared of a few small things. Her fear of swimming had always been apparent for example. She does not like to be told how something is to be done and will point out that she is doing what you asked because she feels like it and not because you asked. Her potent firebending used to get her recognition until Gia showed up. She has a dark sense of humor. We also see that at times Jade can be quite insecure, which may be part of the reason she is so rude. As a fawn, because of her mother’s death, she would seem to be worried about her father's opinion of her. Jade and Gia's friendship is complicated, and is full of insults and fighting. Jade appears to have had an open rivalry with Gia ever since their first meeting. They can seem as enemies at times but they are also friends. When Gia came home from her battle with Queen of Blackmoor, Jade stood up for the rebellious pale doe, making her punishment for disobeying the sergeant’s orders less severe. Their relationship does have a strong sense of “frenemy” but at the same time they become a powerful and dangerous team when needed, so we can’t say that they aren’t friends.
Windsong
Despite being polar opposites, Jade and Windsong are very close friends. They both openly express concern for the other when they're hurt and will call the fawnling who caused the pain Jade is noticeably less hostile and more patient towards Windsong . They seem to bear a love to each other as if they were blood. They both seem to know each other inside and out.
Falathiel
Jade has barely interacted with Fala so far, but she explicitly hates her. Nuff said

Jade and Bara are close friends. Ever since they met when they were yearlings, Jade has always found a friend in Bara. She does get annoyed with Bara from time to time but it is always short-lived and lighthearted. He was the only Stag she could be herself around. Their relationship has always been strong and he is the only fawnling (other than Gia, who found out) that knows about her affair with Ilo. Jade had a crush on Bara ever since they met, but she had felt that dating him would be awkward so she kept it a secret. Jade’s current Stag. Jade is quite irritable towards everyone but Xan. She actually has never shown that she has hatred toward him at all. She puts up a wall to everyone else but Xan and seems to trust him with her feelings. He has a lot of control over Jade’s behavior. She can be rude and bossy to everyone but the moment Xan tells her to not/do something she obeys right away without discussion. He is the only one who is able to calm her down and make her become polite. She seems to have a lot of respect for him, and often tries to gain his approval. Although he is not as possessive of Jade as she is of him, Xan can get veryprotective of her when she is in a dangerous situation, even if she says that she can handle herself.
Ilo
Ilo was Jade's boyfriend for two years. She was very possessive of him and didn’t like to catch him talking/flirting with other does. Her possessiveness over Ilo was made first apparent when she found Ilo and Fala alone rubbing against Ilo and immediately interprets the action as flirting. Jade was breaking a whole lot of rules by dating Ilo. She could have easily been thrown out of the herd if the king wasn’t her closest friend. They broke up soon after the fight with Fala as Jade had seen that Ilo was not as committed to her as she had first thought. After this, they didn't interact often, and when they did, they didn't seem to get along as well. It is likely, however, that she still has lingering feelings for him.
