This week we will be featuring Ian Jun Wei Chiew (iancjw), concept artist and illustrator from Malaysia, currently studying at the Academy of Art University, San Francisco.
He describes himself as "a young, motivated and passionate student, who is taking full advantage of his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration, using it as a platform towards becoming an influential creative force at the forefront of the rapidly evolving film and gaming industries. Drawing inspiration from his Malaysian heritage, his observant and inquisitive eye of the world around us, as well as the exposure to concept art at a professional level in the innovation hub of California in which he resides, his breadth of experiences and fresh perspectives collectively feed into the Science-Fiction and Fantasy environments he designs."
His landscapes transport us to a whole new and amazing world. They are beautifully composed and have powerful colour schemes. Enjoy his work!
