Literature Text

Looking into mirrors I see your face;
You are watching me from behind a sea.
My mind circles around holding your grace,
Though I know that it is not meant to be.

Trembling fingers reach out to touch your skin
In spite of grasping but the mirror's face-
The sea swallowed you with an ugly grin,
Your body melted in its cold embrace.

You reach out trying to clasp my pale hand
A severed world dangling on a frail thread.
The flood carried you to the promised land,
Washed over you, like the fate you've met.

Though I yearn more than anything to live on,
My heart's cold since my twin is gone.

This is your first Sonnet? Holy...this is breathtaking! Not only is it visually beautiful and mournful, it is also expressed so emotionally as well. Creating a strong and effective impact on the heart.

In observing both the syllabic/Stress pattern, it is flowing and perfect. Especially easy to read and follow along with. Your rhyme pattern is also evident and noticeable too! Showing clearly the style of our famous poet.

In summation of it all, you have created a piece that everyone can relate to clearly. Both in its expression and visualization. Keep it up! You are doing amazing!

Sincerely

~Legolas
