Spirit of the Coin (Ouija Board Game)

The Ouija board, also known as a spirit board or talking board, is a flat board marked with the letters of the alphabet, the numbers 0-9, the words "yes", "no", "hello", and "goodbye", along with various symbols and graphics. It uses a  movable indicator (in this case, a round coin) to indicate the spirit's message by spelling it out on the board during a séance. Participants place their fingers on the coin, and it is moved about the board to spell out words.

There are many urban legends surrounding the ouija game itself. Most legends say that people will be possessed or haunted by spirits after playing. When people are possessed, they may experience paranormal encounters. They will hear spirits' voices which confuses thinking patterns and hinder concentration needed for school, work and normal life. Some people may experience seizure-like panic attacks, like fast movements in the head, arms and fingers when they lose control over their mind.

There was a case in Mount Rainier, Maryland in 1945 when a 14 year old boy was allegedly possessed by an ouija spirit which caused him to suffer violent attacks and fits of rage. Eyewitness claimed that scratching noises emanated from the walls, objects such as fruits and picture would leap to the floor in the boy's presence and the bed which the boy slept in would shake violently.

Many stories were told about the ouija game, like it's 'do and don't's. Such include:

-If the planchette begins to count down through the numbers the spirit can escape and will be in the surrounding area. If the planchette moves off the board, it is 'freed'  and it is now in the house or area.

-Ouija Boards that are not properly disposed of will return to haunt the owner. To properly dispose of the Ouija Board one must break it into seven pieces, pour holy water on it and bury it.

-If the planchette moves to all four corners of the board, or makes a figure 8 pattern, an evil spirit is contacted.

But Kokuri-san demands requires Kitsune to face her fears and the dangers to ask an Ouija spirit a question...

Secretary of the School Council

[P]ersonality:

| Tsundere | Poised | Hostile | Strict | Responsible | Paranoid | Antisocial | Prissy |

Being the daughter of a CEO, Kitsune plasters herself a cool and formal exterior for she is forced to remain poised and perfect. Kitsune displays her personality mainly as hostile but she is also known to be display a more friendlier manner towards those close to her, such as having a crush on her boyfriend. She's loyal, responsible and well... sometimes a tad bit romantic to the boy[s] she loves.

Kitsune is a strict person when it comes to school discipline. She constantly carries a strict, no-nonsense air around her and despises fooling around. She can also come across as rather detached, and sometimes threatening when she needs be. Refrain from breaking the rules when you're around her, for she will not let a single rule be broken and you'll not get away with it easily. She is a diligent secretary for the council, but can sometimes be quite calculative.

She can also be rather show off at times, making people seem inferior in her presence, but this is due to the way her father raised her. She doesn't cast second glances at people of low class, making her a rather prissy person. Her parents, especially her father raised her in such a sheltered, rich life that she became too arrogant.

Note that she's not a friendly person at first glance, but actually, if you peel her outer self away, she really wants to get closer to others... She just doesn't know how to socialise...

One may think that she's fearless, but she's in fact the opposite. Hiding it well on the outside, she has a case of autophobia, fear of being alone. Whenever she's alone, she will have a morbid feeling of being tailed by spirits at every corner. Even though she has this fear, she's a rather antisocial person, hanging out with only those close to her. At times, when she has no close friends with her, she'll try to follow others from behind, just to relieve herself from the feeling of being alone.

Insomnia is another problem she has. She can't sleep at night due to the fear of meeting spirits. Therefore, she's usually grouchy when woken up early in the mornings, and if she's woken up loudly or prematurely, she gives people her trademark demon eyes. She generally have a bad mood in the morning.

Also, did I mention that she's a freaking tsundere? //punted hard by Kitsune

[B]iography:

Kitsune is the only child of a Japanese CEO and a common Chinese family business heir. Since her parents married in a political marriage, they never actually loved each other, which caused Kitsune to grow up in a broken family.

Kitsune's father wasn't exactly pleased when he found out about the product from his undesired marriage, and he was even more displeased when he found that the baby born was a girl. Though all that angered him, what angered him more was that the child was born with a birth defect, a change in the brain structure that causes electrical storms of seizures. Taking that condition as 'retardation', he almost abandoned the baby, but Kitsune's mother still insisted on keeping the child.

Proving her father wrong, Kitsune grew up fairly normal like children of her age, with her recurrent seizures being uncounted for. Kitsune also showed him her 'usefulness' to him by being a language prodigy, speaking three languages fluently at the age of 3. Seeing that Kitsune was faring rather well and proved to be rather useful to him, he decided to keep her.

Although he accepted her as his daughter, he still doesn't show much interest to his child, leaving all the responsibility to his wife. With her father merely paying for her medicine, treatments and daily needs, Kitsune drifted away from her father and he became a complete stranger to her. Even though he wasn't close to his daughter, he placed a lot of stress and expectations on the young girl's shoulders, giving her all sorts of activities like music, dance, arts, ICT and sports. Kitsune hated all those activities given to her. She couldn't play any instruments without sounding like she was carrying out a bloody murder, computers seem to refuse to cooperate with her and with her recurrent seizures, she and sports don't match. But among all those, she did find her interest in dancing and equestrian. Being the dick daddy he is, he still pushes more stressful activities to his daughter even though Kitsune excels in dance and language already.

Since young, Kitsune was close friends with Minae Fukui, spending most of her childhood with the girl. With all Kitsune's problems with her family, Fukui was always there to lend her an ear, and in return, Kitsune protected her best friend from bullies in their neighbourhood.

Domestic fights in her home continued and Kitsune grew depressed due to her broken family. After her parents' divorce when she was 8, Kitsune and her mother moved to her hometown in China. She lived a happy and simple life with her mother until her father claimed her back to live with him in Japan. At the age of 13, she returned to him and he enrolled her into Shiren Gakuen when she was 15.

When she returned to Japan, she was reunited with an enthusiastic Fukui, who was overjoyed to see her beloved 'senpai' once more. But to Fukui's surprise, Kitsune couldn't recall her times with her nor remember her. Kitsune didn't know what happened on the younger girl's end, but she still attempted to rekindle their old friendship which she doesn't even remember.

With her ever continuing family problems, Kitsune could not bear it anymore and decided to try out one thing recommended by her friend, consulting an ouija spirit.

She asked the ouija spirit about her family's future, about the problems in her family but all she received were negative answers. Concluding that the ouija board was 'faulty', Kitsune ended the game abruptly and tossed the ouija board into the trash bin.

Kitsune though nothing of the wrongly disposed ouija board. But things soon went bad. Kitsune began to experience a series of paranormal events, true to the superstition of ouija boards haunting their owners after being wrongly disposed. One night, saw a dark figure on her roof when she was returning home alone late at night. Another time, she heard scratching on her bathroom door and dark laughing. Another time, she felt her blanket on her bed being pulled down when she was sleeping and then she also heard laughing. The next time she returned home alone late at night, she saw a dark shape hanging from her roof. All of these things happened when she were alone, and she soon developed a fear of being alone.

The moment she began to realise her fear of being alone and her 'ability' to see ghosts was when she was alone in an elevator. Being an all mirrored elevator, she could see reflections of herself being reflected on every pane. The elevator stopped suddenly and a woman with long matted hair walked into the elevator. Kitsune, thinking that the woman was a homeless woman tried to be hospitable by asking the woman for her destination. The woman kept silent, making Kitsune feel uncomfortable with the eerie aura around her. Before stopping at her designated floor, the doors of the elevator opened, without anyone holding the elevator from either side and the woman slowly exited the lift. Stunned, Kitsune looked around in a panic and that was when she noticed something...

She couldn't see the woman's reflection on the elevator mirrors.

Ever since that day, Kitsune became paranoid about the supernatural world and couldn't concentrate on her studies. Her father, assuming that his daughter isn't faring well in a public school decided to transfer her to Shiren Gakuen, hoping that her grades will improve.

When she met Yasuhiro, he reached his arm out to her and invited her to join the council. At first, Kitsune had no feelings for the boy. Furthermore, the truth about her being cursed made her hesitant to trust the older student. It took a seizure and Yasuhiro's comforting words to open up herself and make the decision to join the school council.

[O]thers:

-She has been an epileptic ever since she was a child. She constantly experience seizures, some severe enough to end her up in the hospital.

-She's never seen without long gloves and leggings. The reason why? Its unknown for now :iconheplz:

-She may act like she's all cool and awesome, but that's 50% a lie and she can be a real derp sometimes :3

-Her father keeps her in the mansion like a hermit, so she's rather clueless when it comes to the outside world.

-She can occasionally hear voices of spirits, whether real or just merely hallucinations, she doesn't know. This is a symptom of being partially possessed.

-She gets seizures/panic attacks whenever she has a supernatural or paranormal encounter, especially encounters with the spirit from the Spirit of the Coin Ouija board game. This is also a symptom of being partially possessed.

-She gets ill-treated by her father occasionally, especially when she refuses to follow his selfish orders.

-She dislikes maths and science, because she claims that they're too logical and doesn't allow people to use their inner creativity.

-She may not be strong in Maths, Science, Sports and Music, but she excels in Dance, Language and Social Sciences. The only sport she does is equestrian (She's okay okay in it, not too lame in it, but also not too strong in it.)

-Kitsune is multilingual as she can speak Japanese, English, Chinese and French.

-Even though her dancing is good, she's terrible at music Q v Q Never, EVER ask her to play instruments. You'll go deaf.

-She has a red fox as a pet to keep her company. His name is Piko. She loves him dearly even though its creepy cause it has hollow eyes XD ((Kitsune's cuckoo in the head when it comes to 'cute' pets...))

-She constantly gets little items with fox prints from Kaname as it is his own special way to melt her heart of ice and make her smile. She also has a habit of stealing his treasury work to do, much to Kaname's dismay.
