Amazonos Ch. 36: The Staff of JusticeEryx lead Amazonia, Kassandra, and two Centaurs, Pedasus and Tiro, into the thick forest as he retraced their steps back to the cavern of the creature. Eryx was relatively young compared to the others and a bit more apprehensive of the danger that lies ahead, yet he knew he had to help rescue the others. Kassandra’s presence was obvious to Amazonia as well the others. Her friendship with Lukos was bordering admiration on both parts. She had a look of determination as they continued, yet Amazonia was all but content in what lies ahead for her and her party. She had nothing to go on about this creature, what sort of beast it truly is, or was it a beast at all. The information Eryx and Cyncus had provided was sketchy at best, although she took a lot of solace with their words.
Kassandra took notice of Amazonia as she looked to her. “You seem concerned.”
Amazonia tried to shrug it off but after a short pause she opened up. “We may be heading into folly that I cannot

Amazonos Ch. 38: JudgementsWith the defeat of the creature, many of the released captives exited the caverns to be greeted by Kassandra, Eryx, Pedasusm and Tiro, who were stunned to see the Phoenician sailors seemingly come from nowhere. In all, 112 men were released from the control of the creature and Gula’s influence. Most were common pirates from Lepcis and as far away as Tingis. The others were merchants from Syracuse. Nearly all had one thing in common: they came to this island for supplies or food and were lured into the cavern by Gula. The sweet and tempting aroma was from the creature to attract it’s prey. The food that was thought cooked and prepared were offerings of the creature’s offspring. Once ingested, you are under its influence and Gula’s control as she had possessed the creature as well. It was Toby who told Amazonia that it was the intoxicating aroma that prevented mortals from seeing the creature, yet her healing ability broke the illusion.
