Finished Ghost Request

Suggestions (since you've submitted this to a critique group): Pay closer attention to your light direction and COLOR. From looking at the background, the light source is almost backlit, but neither figure shows it. It doesn't matter so much on the ghost lady, since you've already got the transparency effect to help her feel to be inside the picture, but it's pretty obvious on the wolf. Especially since he seems to be stepping into that light from the window--if nothing else you could add a more cream-colored edge to him to sort of show the backlight. But the wolf was photographed in a neutral or cool light, and in a very warm picture like this he doesn't fit in as well. You could try messing around with color balance (ctrl-b if you're using photoshop) just to see what works. 

Alternately, you could change the tone of the entire picture rather than trying to mess with the wolf--if you color-shifted the background into a blue white to echo the glow on the wolf's eyes, it would swap the warm feeling for a cold one, but i think cold works for ghosts too. But that would be up to you and experimentation.
