This is a very astounding piece. It sets a blaze of curiosity and love in my heart. The raindrops blend perfectly well with the model's umbrella and the background. It's difficult for me to see a theme or idea but at the same time not. This makes me want to look at the piece even more. To find out what I am missing. It draws the attention of the viewers to the lights, then the model and we finally see the exquisite detail.

There are many city set themes but they all have different stories. This is skillfully made. With all of the little details it sets a hard drag on your heart. You want to find more, see more, understand more. rain in the city is one of the best photo manipulation I've seen. There is a very high amount of quality and effort put into it; that makes you respect and love the piece and the artist.

For Vision I gave you 4 1/2 stars. Like I said before, there is much detail and the blurring of the city lights add to the effect. But it's difficult for me to find a story in this piece. Many things that I question. Yet, I believe you want to keep the story low. That people will look back and view this for as long as they can. The curiosity of the story brings me back to this work.

For Originality I gave 4 stars. I've seen many city themed works, yet they all seem to amaze me in new ways. Most of I've seen have rain and the blurry lights in the background. There is something that I can't quite describe that seems very original in this piece. It seems new, almost refreshing to the mind and soul.

For Technique I gave 5 stars. This is very professionally made. The raindrops drip off and land on the umbrella perfectly. Also the rain in the background, on the stone. I can just see the realism of that rain. It's easy to imagine how cold it must be. The coat adds to that, as does how the wind whips her hair. The lights from the city can easily be seen on the coat and the model. As well as the umbrella. Thus making her and the background blend perfectly together.

For Impact I gave 4 1/2 stars. This doesn't give me as much as a hurt in my soul as some photo manipulations have. Yet it seems to sink talons into my heart and soul, dragging those talons down deeper and deeper. I can feel the love and hate from this piece. I can feel the cold wind clawing at the model. The rain drops falling down. Hearing them hit the umbrella. The cars honking. Everything that you would hear in a city.

I personally love this exquisite piece. It provides great curiosity and colors that will make viewers return and return again.
