...Things are no longer the same...and that bears significance for her...
Inspired after doing a massive stock download. I guess that's my digital OCD. I saw the statue and was fascinated with it and thought it would be interesting to try using it as a person, not a sculpture. I think it turned out fairly well. When it comes to lighting, I am still working on that. In my artwork, I have troubles with a few things like shading and lighting so I did my best to try to consider the light source here. I am not totally sure I got it right. But it's okay as it takes practice to improve and learn that skill. I do tend to have a big brain block on light sources and 3 dimensions in terms of showing depth.
I also made sure to use shadows to "ground" the statue and put in light "water lines" at the edge of the water and where the bridge enters the water in order to make it look hopefully more realistic. I've picked up those few tips from some tutorials (which I need to watch more of but I am sometimes too impatient for that). However, I did use a tutorial to help with masking out some of the foreground trees. It turned out okay. Will use it when I need to mask hair out.
