Miki Yamita - Village Nice Guy

Miki was always known as a small, strong, and speedy girl. She never was very bright but always just managed to get by with help from friends or pure luck.  When she was younger she found herself being scolded for sneaking out of class or not necessarily doing an assignment right.  While this didn't stop her from working hard at things she excelled at...she would hardly work at things she was terrible at. For the most part she was content with this and surrounded herself with enough people to make up for her shortcomings.

It wasn't until the attacks on Torogakure she really understood what loss was, along with the feeling of being unable to help.  The death of Tarou and Akihiko leaving was almost too hard for her.  The stability she always relied on was starting to crumble with those losses and things would only continue to change for her. When her mother announced her upcoming marriage to Kazuki Minawa she was overjoyed, but felt a bit lonely as well.  She was now going to officially be the last Yamita in all of Torogakure.  While the offer was open for Miki to come with her mother she did not want to interfere with the newlyweds.  Her family was technically larger, but it didn't really feel too different with the exception of being in her home at night.  Miki underestimated the security brought on by her mother's presence and began finding it harder and harder to sleep at night.  Being the only one in the house unfortunately made her alert to every creak of the house, ever wail of the wind, every pedestrian that talked too loudly. The only proper solution she really found was to train herself to near exhaustion.  Practicing ninjutsu was not only extremely challenging for her, but honestly helped ease her feelings of loneliness as everyone seemed to be moving on with their lives.  While not the greatest with it, she improved more significantly in that first year than all of her time in the academy.

Tomoe was always a better teacher anyway. Her simple explanations always went a lot farther for Miki.

Eventually finding a balance between sleeping, training, and teaching herself new things Miki has become a lot more independent.  She'd still rather be with people, but she at least knows now she can be alone and keep going.
