Original Species: Mamemamono

   A special class of Yōkai: those who have been defeated by a certain onmyōji. 

Among the different monsters and spirits, there are those who may not be strong, but still cause terrible inconvenience in humans and spirits whether it's hiding a single sock or locking the car door while your keys are still inside.

A young onmyōji wearing a spider lily pattern on his clothes, sought to teach these spirits a lesson. Those that were defeated were marked with a seal and tracked by a shikigami, a paper doll, who would call back their master if the monster was to misbehave again. Though limited by the seals, these Yōkai were still allowed shape shift, but only to a smaller form that takes less energy to maintain.

  "Mamono"(魔物): synonymous with Yōkai

♦ Has non human traits depending on the Yōkai

♦ Can change into a smaller, _moeblobular non-humanoid form ... or "mame" form

♦ Has a personal shikigami following them around, monitoring them

♦ Has a visible paper seal on them at all times

♦ Clothing can vary greatly, though they usually try to blend in with humans

♦ There's usually some red around their eyes and markings on their face

♦ Is that an ahoge bouncing on their head? 

♦ Tend be of the mischievous type...

 ♦ Cleansing Seal (Class 'chuuni') - There are those who become corrupted with something darker and try to break the normal seal. More mischievous than the average spirit, these individuals are reluctant to change and wish harm to others while drawing strength from energy around them. 
However, the young onmyōji had accounted for such occasions and both its shikigami and talisman would work to draw out the malevolence. Being in the company of non-corrupted spirits including mamemamono and nuoniao can also speed up their recovery. Luckily most of these individuals are aware of their situation but just act indignant about it.
Their traits differ from normal mamemamono in that their shikigami and talisman are black in color. The contract, usually  written on the talisman, is transferred into their skin replacing the need for red markings and ahoge.

♦ Will take on some traits similar to the mamono they've been assigned to watch

♦ Will have shide, zigzag-shaped paper streamer, tied around their neck. The style of paper can varying among shikigami.

♦ Will also have red around their eyes like the mamono

♦ Tend to be pale skinned _{since they're paper}

♦ Has 'shikigami' (式神) written on their face
