Description

:iconwarriorssecondchance:

:new: He is returning! A flood ripped him from his home, but he doesn't give up.
I plan to redo the format and all, but I'm being lazy about it XD

General Info
Name: Finchkit | Finchpaw | Finchfeather
Rank: Warrior
Age: 28 Moons
Gender: Tom
Clan: Willowclan
Apprentice: -----
Mate: Open
Appearance: A light tan color base is the main color of this tom. His back and shoulders are covered in a ginger color, slightly diluted. A commonish tabby marking covers the ginger part of his pelt, while a light color makes his toes looked dipped in paint, as well as his under coat. He stands a little taller than most cats, and as such, has rather thin legs. His eyes, a light green, seem to have no pupils. His pupils are "invisible" Or rather so small, and unresponsive to light, that they seem invisible. This causes him to have issues with light.

Scars/Distinguishing Marks Gained during his disappearance, Finchfeather now has a scar across his left eye. It did not harm his eyesight, for he was looked after well, but it left the fur there unable to grow back. This holds true for his left ear, which became ripped during the same instance.

Personality
Quiet -- Scared -- Friendly -- Caring -- Fake

Quiet: Since even his sisters mocked him for his stutter, this tom tends to remain aas silent as possible. Not that he doesn't speak, he just tries not to. His belief is that he can save his voice, and repair it by not using it. He will speak, you just need to speak to him. He never talks first unless its important. He is shy as well, but only for fear of being made fun of.

Scared: This tom is scared of so many things, its okay to call him a scaredy cat. He jumps at storms. This is because the flash of light that comes with it hurts his eyes, temporarily blinding him. He is scared to get close to someone, to make friends, fo fear they will join his family in starclan. He is scared to speak for fear of being mocked. As such, he avoids situations that will force him into close quarters with any of these things.

Friendly: He may not talk much, and he may be scared to get near someone, but he will always greet one with a smile, won't ever turn down someone asking for help, and will always be willing to put himself forwards in order to better someone's day. When he does speak, his voice is soft, and it's hard to hear him. But along with the quiet volume and stutter comes a tone that cannot be described any better than 'kind'

Caring: Finchpaw does all he ca o help ones in need. He shares his prey, gives someone a paw if they need help climbing something, and will volunteer to keep an eye on kits if their mother needs to take a walk or make dirt. He cares about his clanmates, and even those who aren't his clanmates. He hates seeing someone in pain or upset, and will do what he can to help.

Fake: Not fake in a manner you tend to see. Its the fact he forces himself to seem happy. He fakes a smile 99% of the time. On the inside all his feelings and thoughts swirl, while on the outside, he seems nothing more than your average apprentice, focused on becoming a great warrior. He 'flirts' with she-cats, without words. This involves slight touches, and everything you can do without a voice. But if he ever did find someone for him to be with, he wouldn't be afraid to use his voice for them.

Family
Mother: Rosesnag
Father: Blackpelt
Littermates:Acornkit | Hollykit | Tumblepaw
Siblings: See above
Other Family Members: Unknown

History

Finchkit: Finchkit was born as any normal kit. To a warrior couple in Willowclan. Alongside his sisters, Acornkit, Hollykit, and Tumblekit, Finchkit was just like any cat. Though the med. cat was confused by his eyes, and the seemingly lack of pupils, he wasn't too worried about it. The kit could see, and just had issues with bright flashes of light, and couldn't see in the distance very well. He chalked it up to those odd things in life, and the family went on. But when the kits were old enough to talk, and Finch didn't do so, Rosesnag began to question Starclan's destiny for her only son. A moon after his siters had begun talking, Finchkit finally found his voice. But it was as if his voice was broken. He could barely form a sentance, a stutter so extreme that it took him moments to get a single word out. The Med. Cat once again chalked it up to life, but was determined to figure it out.

At 4 moons old, like any litter, the siblings decided to venture out of the camp. They watched for a moon, learning the best ways to sneak around, and at 5 moons, took their first pawsteps outside the camp. That is, however, except for Finchkit. He had been shunned by his sisters. They mocked him for his disability, and as such, he had taken to silence, and avoidance. Therefore, he knew nothing of their plan. That morning, he was playing with his father, Blackpelt, when they heard a loud screech. Blackpelt and a few other warriors ran off, leaving Finchkit staring in horror. His mother was calling for her kits, in order to sheild them from whatever it was that caused the sound. But only Finchkit could be found. The tomkit found himself praying to starclan, alongside his mother, for his sister's health. Alas, it was hopeless. Not too much later, Blackpelt padded slowly into camp. Tumblekit hung from his jaws, blood dripping down her rear, her tail missing. She was covered in  cuts and scratches. Behind him, two other warriors came into camp, each one carrying his other sisters. Acornkit was obviously gone, her stomach sliced open. Hollykit's eyes were open, and she was covered with nicks. She didn't move, however, and her head was at a funny angle, along with one of her legs. Rosesnag screamed in horror, and ran forwards. Finchkit, however, didn't understand. His sisters were back, what was there to cry about?

It took a few days, but Finchkit grew to learn what happened. His sisters had snuck out, and been attacked by something. The patrol had arrived after the attacker had left, and was unable to find it. Hollykit had been slammed into a tree, breaking her neck and killing her instantly. The Med. Cat determined that Acornkit had been alive a few moments after her fatal wound. Tumblekit wasn't dead, but her paw was severly injured. Over the next moon, Finchkit remained by his family's side.  He refused to become an apprentice before his sister was able.

At 7 moons, Finchkit and Tumblekit became apprentices together. Tumblekit hadn't fully healed, but was given the green light by the medicine cat, and it was determined she had suffered enough. Finchkit had never truely gotten over the sight he had seen, nor had his parents. Blackpelt had passed during a hunt, taken by age. Rosesnag was to pass soon after the apprentice ceremony, due to a snake bite. His parents never planned to give up, but starclan must have wanted them to be with their daughters.

Finchpaw: Finchpaw hadn't been an apprentice for more than a day when he lost Tumblepaw as well. She pushed herself too far, trying to climb a tree. Her paw gave out under her, and she fell, breaking her neck, just like Hollykit had. Finchpaw had seen it happen, but he had been unable to call for help, his voice wouldn't work. When his sister was pronounced dead, he was able to let out a solid cry, showing he did have a stable voice, but only in extreme circumstances. From then on, Finchpaw rarely spoke. He believes if he saves his voice, he can use it in a time of need.

During his apprenticeship, Finchpaw befriended a she-cat called Sweetpaw, and in the end, developed a heavy crush on her.He was torn, because he knew she had many suiters to choose from, so hose to remain in the shadows, a friend for when she needed it. He became more social after that, meeting a few other fellow apprentices, and spending time with the leader at the time, Voicestar. Eventually, as moons passed, his final assesment came and went, and Finchpaw became a warrior.

Finchfeather: Finchfeather hadn't even been a warrior for a moon when terrible things began to happen. Voicestar was replaced By Emberstar, and a few cats in the other clans went missing. Soon it was discovered that Sweetpaw herself, the feline Finchfeather had been crushing on, was among the missing. He struggles with this knowledge, and prays to Starclan that she will return soon, free of any harm.

Finchfeather was silent while Sweetsoul was gone, barely speaking to anyone. He distanced himself from his entore clan. He didn't eat as much, barely enough to survive. The young warrior was given an apprentice in hopes he would open up. This failed to work, and soon his apprentice was given to another and he was starting to be seen as useless. Eventually, Sweetpaw returned, and son became Sweetsoul. Finchfeather himself gained his energy back, and he became healthy again. Another apprentice was given to the male, and this time, he did well. The apprentice soon began training. It wasn't long before Finchfeather discovered that Sweetsul had chosen another for herself, and he was okay with that. He supported them, and he was willing to stick beside her.

Mother nature had other plans, and during a terrible event, a flood ripped through the clans camp, many cats being lost. Finchfeather struggled to stay above the water. He could see other cats climbing rocks, catching onto trees, and getting out of the water. His legs were swept out from under him, and he was barely able to cling onto a large boulder as the water rushed around him. He could hear someone yelling for him, a voice screaming his name. When he loked up, he couldn't make out who they were, water ran into his eyes. He tried to climb onto the rck, but the surface was too slippery, and he felt his claws slip. With a loud yowl, he disappeared under the water.

One Season Cycle Later The churning water had slammed the male against many things, and caused a lot of damage. One that he didn;t even notice was a rose bush that he got caught on. It tore across his eye and his ear, though the water was so cold he didn't notice. When he finally settled onto a shore, he was worn out, bruised, and barely concious., not to mention miles from home. He didn't spend the next few moons alone, however. A passing rogue, Lila, had seen him, and taken him in. A month later, he was hunting alongside her, healthy once again, and he was happy for two seasons.

He wanted to repay his debt to her, but his mind still remained focused on returning home. He offered his home to her, but she shook her head. "I cannot go where your heart lies, I do not belong. Your heart belongs somewhere else, and I won't ask you to stay with me. Just find out what your heart wants, and make sure you don't lose it" The words confused the young warrior, but he promised. Nothing eventful happened while he travelled back to his clan, though he got lost many times, and almost starved to death. The cold was a danger to him, and he barely survived. Finally he caught the familiar scent of Willowclan, and he rushed to find out if his home still remained.

Key Notes

:star: Finchfeather may seem as if he doesn't respond, but it will always be something small.
:star: When he was younger, he hated to speak. Now he will talk, but very softly. He wants to be more open, it will just take time.
:star: He is sensitive to light, such as Lightning, walking out of a shade into a bright light/direct light. He can see perfectly fine, but long distance is litte more than a shadow

Roleplay Sample

Water, it was everywhere! The male felt his paws freeze for what seemed like moons as he stared at the water rushing towards him. Cats scattered around him as he finally snapped into his senses. "R-RUN!" An unnecessary shout, but he couldn't stop it from coming out. A crisp word, untainted, he turned and took his own advice. He spotted apprentices falling behind, and stopped, turning to grab one by their scruff. Running as fast as he could, he helped the small feline get high into a tree, and went back down for another. As he looked around, he heard a soft, quiet cry for help, and his blood ran cold. He ran his eyes over the scene before him, spotting a small kit struggling to climb a tree as the water tugged at his small form. Finchfeather ran forward and picked him up, trying to give a soft purr of comfort, though fear was flooding him, just as easily as the water was flooding the clans. He ran, and had only just given the small kit to a warrior standing on a high branch when he felt the water tug at him again, and he lost his grip, plunging deep into the rushing rapids. Finchfeather could feel his thick fur weighing him down and he struggled to get to the surface. After what seemed like ages, he broke upwards, lashing out with his paws. Contact was made and he dug his claws into the boulder he had slammed against. The water was cold, and he could already feel his legs numbing up. A ound cae to him, and he looked up. The water made it impossible to smell and to see, though he could tell there was a figure in a tree nearby, calling his name. He tried to call back, but water flowed into his mouth. The coughing that followed shook his body, and the water grabbed him once again. Terror flooded him as he felt his claws slip. Everything went into slow motion as he watched hi claws leave furrows in the rock just before he was pulled under. A final shriek tore from his mouth, silenced by the raging flood. Everything faded to black as he felt himself slammed into another tree trunk, and he let himself go.
