WTA entry for xXlovingponiesXx

  Alone again... The mare sighed softy as she walked passed a few happy couples in her cafe.
"Every time this day passes around it gets like this." She sighed, tossing her mane around to get it away from the food she was carrying.  After placing the customer's food down she trotted back to the kitchen to bake more goodies. The rush to get sweets and something romantic was happening once again.

   Arctic Kiss sighed more as she looked at her cutie mark. A pair of blue lips... Her sign she would be alone forever, although she got it when she helped out the cold with her baked goods. Her parents kept telling her it was how she could feed the hungry and care for them but the young adult wouldn't take it. She plopped down on the ground and hung her head as she waited for the bell to ring. "I wonder how Thunder Blast and Vanilla Cream  are?" She wondered aloud. Her parents were always very kind and respectful, which was a trait they passed onto their daughter.

   It was hard... being to kind and nice when everyone of your friends were in love and foals of their own. She barely even had her heart pitter padder around a stallion. It hurt but she did have her cafe to worry about. Two things this time of year always switched around in her mind: a date for once and making sure her cafe's low prices wont sky rocket due to demand.

   The latter was due to her knowledge that not every pony had enough money this time of year so she helped in anyway she could. She even hired extra hands who worked off the goods they bought. Always Stallions though.... Never mares getting somepony something cute. The Stallions were so large that only three could fit in her kitchen compared to the normal five mares helping her. She and her team worked hard each day to not only have a nice place but to impress others.

   She shook her mane and sighed deeply. The light powder snow frosted the earth and cafe, giving it a romantic glow. She looked around at all the couples and other ponies out the server window. A feeling of joy over came her. Jealousy.. Rage.. she never could have that.. never. She sunk more into the ground and sighed.


  Artic Kiss started to think about all the horrible things that had happened when she was around Stallions. They all left her alone. Was she unattractive? Not that she thought. She though all the well grooming she did would help. Was it her dark colors? She shook her head. No.. She saw plenty of famous ponies all with the same dark colored pelt and mane.

A feeling over came her angry heart. A sense of contentment. It wasn't her that was wrong. Just everyone else. She was the best she could be. The best money and self love could get.
 

Pride..


She was proud of her cafe and all the loyal customers and mainly herself. And no Stallion would give her that feeling she bet. She sighed happily. The feeling for a need for a mate was gone and replaced with the powerful surge of pride and contentment.

 "All Hot drinks are free until 3!" She cheered, giving her customers a gift for helping come to the notion. You didnt need a stallion in your life to be happy. All you needed was to do something you loved... And love yourself

    She turned around and grinned at her fellow workers. They all seemed happy here. That gave the mare hope that her little cafe was working. It warmed the cold hearts around her little town outside Canterlot. It even worked its magic on her finally. She trotted out and interacted with more customers who noted her change in character.
