Wren is very strong-willed and self assured. She's very confident in her knowledge and skills, and, though she has a healthy respect for many people, she's unlikely to ever fear anyone on grounds of superiority.
She is easily frustrated by the errors of others, and finds complaining to be both tiresome and lazy. Wren works hard, and is trying to get as far ahead in life as she can, while doing what she wants; she respects the hard work and determination of others.
Ultimately, her aim is to get what she wants. Though she may find many people to be lacking in a lot of ways, and her nature is quite blunt and hard, she can be very pleasant when she needs to be, even turning on the charm for the sake of diplomacy. Be aware, though, she is judging you.

Bio: Wren has lived in Cauhara her entire life. She has an older brother, Robin, who is married and has two young children, and a younger sister, Blackbird, who attends East Cauraha. Their mother works as a sales clerk at a textile store; their father is a jeweller by trade, but primarily runs a pawn shop.

Wren was never quite as rough and tumble as her school peers often were. She had no interest in resorting to violence to get her way or win a dispute when she could do so just as easily through diplomacy and manipulation. However, her classmates soon found out that she was quite able to hold her own when necessary -- or to prove a point. These instances came up more often than she would have liked in her early years; she was always a bit fat, and some people made the error of equating her weight to weakness. They were quickly proven wrong.
While at school, Wren excelled in physics, geography, geology, botany and biology. She also participated in a lot of extra-curricular sports; she was a member of the rugby team and did javelin, hammer and discus throw, as well as shot put, as a part of the schools track and field team. She was never exceedingly popular, but being quite social and so involved in sports, she was relatively well known.

After completing high school, Wren opted not to attend university, though she may change her mind in the future if she finds it to be financially feasible and worth her while. She keeps her own small apartment, and works a rotation of primarily self-managed part-time jobs: she does landscaping with a small company, works as an arborist both as part of that and on her own, and does nature tours in wooded areas in and around the city -- primarily for school groups and children's recreation programmes.

Trivia:
Wren is very interested in animals and monsters, but they are one of the few things she's nervous about dealing with, having never had direct contact with either. She finds the natural aptitude that some people have with them to be awe-worthy.
Several of her more distant relatives are blonde, but Wren stands out within her immediate family as her parents and siblings all have brown or black hair.
She would prefer a weapon more like the objects she spent years handling and throwing as part of the track & field team, but none of them are exactly convenient or practical for carrying around on a day-to-day basis.
Her father made the lariat necklace she wears. The small tiger eye stone is in the shape of a wren, and the leaves were made to resemble ash leaves.
Wren still keeps in touch with quite a few of her school friends, but it saddens her a little that she doesn't feel any particular emotional connection with any of them.
She prefers simple foods -- oatmeal, bread, milk, honey, tea, berries. She thinks everything's better with bannock. She rarely likes food that's overly sweet or spicy.
Her main interest is silvology. Wren does what she can to study it on her own, but would like to gain a more formal education regarding it at some point.

In a defensive situation, Wren is better as back line support, defending companions while they do most of the damage to their opponent(s). She's good as brunt muscle and ranged attacks, but is slow on her feet and prefers to avoid conflict in the first place.
In an attack situation, Wren would more often than not opt to try and slip by without conflict, or quietly subdue her opponent with very little fighting.
