【 Ghost 】 : Although he is in the ghost category, Kasimir can be both physically touched and injured. He has the ability to ‘phase’ through or turn into smoke for easier movement but he cannot use any of those abilities if either his axe or scouts are currently summoned. His transparency is affected by his energy level. The more exhausted he is, the more see through he will appear. At this time Iliana seems to be the only one capable of physically touching him even if he appears to be translucent or untouchable by others.

Kasimir’s ears must be uncovered in order for his ability to be activated.  When the ability is triggered music is simultaneously produced.  If he cannot hear the music he is unable to use his magic. The origin of the music appears mysteriously to his vessel as well but only the two of them are able to hear the song. It is unknown how exactly the music appears or why others cannot hear it. Once his magic is successfully summoned, the music will cease. The music may appear again if his energy is running dangerously low or if he were to re-summon it. Due to the restraint of being required to hear the song first, Kasimir commonly has a delayed reaction at the beginning of most fights if caught unaware.  

Axe : Kasimir is able to summon a large axe to wield as a weapon. It is believed that the axe’s magical attributes make it possible for Kasimir to wield it with ease despite the obvious weight. Besides packing a punch, the axe can be summoned to his person when needed by dissipating into smoke. Any other who attempts to lift his axe will find their hand phasing through it and unable to find a hold. He usually wields the weapon with two hands to try and maximize his accuracy.

Scouts : Summons transparent, ghost like animals in either the form of a hare, a wolf, or a fox. He uses these familiars as a second pair of eyes or to assist him. The animals are to real life scale but if given a burst of magic can increase in size. It is taxing on him to hold the animal’s form the larger it is past it's real life size self. On other occasions he may use them to assist in fights however only one animal at a time can be summoned. If he already has one animal summoned it can easily be switched into another form by bypassing the required music that is initially needed to summon it first. The animals can be physically touched depending on the amount of magic he places in them. They can be destroyed by either aiming for the heart or chopping off its head regardless of how translucent they may appear. Once killed, the animal will disappear into smoke. If Kasimir, for any reason, has to leave Iliana’s side for an extended amount of time he will leave one of his scouts behind to watch over her.

Kasimir is known for having a rather violent streak in him. Please do not mistake him for being a sadist, he doesn't particularly 'enjoy' killing others, he just does it because it is often necessary or the easiest solution. His devotion to his vessel's welfare is absolute and it makes him very edgy when outsiders are in close proximity to her. There is rarely a time where he would question his vessel's orders. He has no sense of self-preservation and will continue to blindly follow her wishes even if she were to ask for him to take his own life.

Instead of ever asking her directly for orders, he prefers to ask her in words along the lines of “Is there anything you wish for?” or “What is your wish?”. Kasimir always uses the word 'wish' instead of 'want' or 'order'. He is known for asking her this several times a day since it also serves as having a duel-meaning. If he believes something is wrong or his guide is feeling down, he asks if she needs anything by inquiring if she has another wish.

Unfortunately he is not an easy person to approach and one wrong or threatening move could easily result in him lashing out at the threat. In his eyes everyone but his vessel would equate to being on the same insignificant level. It takes a lot for him to take an interest in another individual. Due to his lack of concern for other’s personal business, he is also not one for holding grudges. He may remember certain individuals who are particularly dangerous to his vessel’s well being but other than that he easily forgets past discretion.

Kasimir is very particular about certain things. His demanding obsession to have things go a certain way can be rather unnerving at times especially if he is not willing to settle for something lesser. The only person who could give him the order to ignore his personal tendencies would be his vessel. He doesn't have the will or desire to decline an order.

Kasimir is inspired by Iliana’s favorite German fairy tale, The Wonderful Musician ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wond… . His appearance is based on the hunter in the tale as well as his role as the protector of the young musician, his vessel. He is fiercely loyal to only Iliana and would be the last person to ever betray her. All his decisions center around her wishes and his extreme determination to protect her gives him an overwhelming sense of duty and lack of concern for his own well being.

As in the tale, the animals that threaten to attack the musician are reborn as ‘ghosts’ that Kasimir is able to summon and control. The music that is required to play before he can use his abilities is a nod to the musician in the tale as well as his weapon being one that is commonly used by hunters.

- He refers to Iliana as Serenity often, an idealized name that helps him to remind himself of her importance. If in a desperate or emotional situation he may forget this and call her by her real name.
- Height is 6”8, he likes to pick up Iliana to carry around if he decides it is too far for her to walk or if she otherwise asks.
- Often refuses to walk in front of or beside his vessel. Instead he prefers to walk directly behind her to keep an eye on his surroundings.
- Does not feel temperature change, or at least doesn't appear to be bothered by it at all.
- His cooking is not professional in anyway, he is more familiar with home style cooking or cooking out in the wild.
