Genie in the Bottle

It was a beautiful day. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and I was out doing my exercise walk. But, little did I know, I was about to find something extraordinary. 


I was just walking downtown when I noticed a genie's lamp on the side of the road.

Me: "That looks nice."

I couldn't leave a nice looking lamp out there, so I decided to get it out of harms way.

Me: "Why would anyone want to throw this nice looking lamp away. Besides, this thing could be an antique."

So I decided to go to the antique store to see if I can have a little money of it.


I was near the antique store when I decided to rub the lamp for s***s and giggles.

Me: *in a funny tone* "Maybe if I rub hard enough, a genie would come out of it." *laughs*

Suddenly, after a few rubs, the lamp started to move!

I dropped the lamp in surprise.

Me: *surprised* "Woah!"

The lamp continued to jump up and down. Until at last, it stopped and emitted a purple haze.

Me: *scared* "Oh, dear."

Then the haze formed a beautiful woman. She looked 18 years old and was about 5'0.

Me: *nervously hides in a corner and looks in amazement* "Wow."


She was looking around for the one who rubbed her lamp and she spotted me.

Me: "Oh no. *comes out of hiding* Yes?"

?: *in a serious tone* "Are you the one who rubbed my lamp?"

Me: "If I say yes, would you let me live?"

?: *confused* "Live? I can't kill people, even if someone wishes they wanted a person dead."

Me: *shocked* "Wait! Are you telling me that you're a genie?!"

?: "Let's see. *brings out book* Beautiful woman comes out of a lamp, wears a sexy outfit, and has the ability to gran you 3 wishes. *makes book disappear* Yes, I'm a genie."

Me: "Cool. What's your name?"

?: My name is Danielle Djinn and I wasn't always a genie."

Me: "You weren't?"

Danielle: "No. You see-"

(10 minutes later)

Danielle: "-And that's how I got to be a genie."

Me: "So you were just a regular person, until that lamp sucked you in. That is strange!"

Danielle: "It sure is! Now before we get started on the wishes, there are-"

Me: *interrupts her* "Rules, I know. I watched Aladdin. I know I can't wish for more wishes, can't make anyone fall in love, and bring people back from the dead."

Danielle: "Well, I can bring a person back from the dead, but it's not a pretty sight."

Me: "I had a feeling. Sorry for interrupting you."

Danielle: "It's okay. I'm glad you're aware of the rules of the genie."

Me: *smiles* "Thank you."  

Danielle: "What is your first wish?"

Me: "Okay, can you inflate yourself to look like this? *brings out my phone and shows her a picture of Polly Penguin inflated*

Danielle: "Very well." *her body slowly inflates and soon enough, she looked like the inflated penguin*


Me: "Looking good." *hugs her body*

Danielle: *giggles* "Thank you. What's your next wish?"

Me: "Do you think you move us back to my home? It's kind of a long walk and I'm kind of worn out."

Danielle: "Sure thing. *snaps fingers and we're at my home.*

Me: "I want to ask you something. How did your lamp end up there?"

Danielle: "I don't know. My master was just doing an errand and he must have dropped my lamp with noticing. *starts to cry* I tried to make myself heard, but being in a genie has its disadvantages."

Me: "I heard that a genie can't leave the lamp. Unless someone wishes you free, you can't go very far." 

Danielle: *sadly* "That's the thing. I like having these abilities and I don't want to lose them."

Then an idea hit me.

Me: "Maybe you don't have to be free to find your master."

Danielle: "What?"

Me: I'll just ask you to make me have the knowledge of where your master is located."

Danielle: "You'd give up a genie to reunite me with my master? That's so thoughtful of you!"

Me: "I'd do anything to help a friend in need." *hugs her inflated body*

Danielle: "Ready?"

Me: "Danielle, I wish I know where your master lives."

Danielle: "Your wish has been granted, farewell Robert and good luck."

She was being sucked into the lamp, but had a little difficulty getting in because her body was inflated.

Eventually, she got in the lamp.


Finally, using my knowledge of where her master lives, I was able to find his home.

I arrived at his house, left the lamp on the welcome mat, rang the doorbell, and ran for cover.

?: *opens door* "Hello? *looks down and sees the lamp* Huh, looks like someone found my lamp. The one who returned this must really be generous." *picks up lamp, goes back into his house, and closes door*

Me: *to myself* "To think, I originally wanted to put that lamp in an antique store. What a fool I was. Now I know better."
