Hotaru is very happy-go-lucky and friendly; he tries to act tough like his cousin Shiro, but ultimately fails when he sees something cute and immediately goes back to his happy self. Even when he acts tough, Hotaru tries his best to make new friends and get his work done. He’s a diligent worker and always tries hard on homework, even if he has no idea what he’s doing. Bio:

Originally very quiet and shy, Hotaru grew up very timid and always hid from people, keeping silent and staying out of the way. He had met his cousin Shiro a couple of times,  but when he joined the same middle school as his older cousin; Hotaru saw how tough and strong he was and decided he wanted to be like his big cousin Shiro. Hotaru used to live with his family in the Shizouka Prefecture until they moved to Hida-Shi and he was enrolled into the high school. He was delighted to find out his cousin attended the same school and now pesters him with love and affection.
