First Annual Contest!

It's finally time for our first ever contest and we are extremely excited! The contest will be judged by a panel of three judges and entrants will be evaluated based technical ability rather than emotions represented by the poems. Not to say emotion isn't important, but you will not be scored on this alone. Without further ado, here are the details (be sure to read ALL of the rules).

If you want to enter, you must be a member of Poem-A-Day. Everyone is welcome to join the group. All submissions for this contest should be submitted to the "1st contest" folder.

The prompt will be a unique, three word phrase (I've seen this done before in past contests and thought it was a fantastic idea). In order to get your prompt, please leave a comment below or send us a note. The prompts will be decided by StrangersFedora and I. To keep everything fair, we will make sure to keep the difficulty level of all the prompts the same.

☆Rules☆

•Only one submission per person. More than one submission will result in automatic disqualification.

•Only poems are allowed for the contest.

•Poem can be any format you choose but it must be 6 lines or longer.

•Judges may NOT participate in the contest.

•No excessive profanity allowed. Excessive profanity is defined as the overt or unnecessary use of cursing and/or mature themes. Use of excessive profanity may result in a 10 point deduction.

•To keep judging fair, poems must be in English.

•Poems for this contest must be original. No old submissions. We want to read something new!

The deadline will be October 7th at midnight (mountain standard time). This should be plently of time to write something fantastic,  so go ahead and let your creativity flow!
