Racing

On day 5 there is the racing. Racing will be held in smaller groups of 12 horses but will be judged all together. Races will be held on grass and startboxes is going to be used. The race will start at 1 pm and end around 6 pm


Racing will be from 1pm-6pm. It will be warm and mostly sunny, from 74-77°F, or 23-35°C. There will be very little wind, from 0-1mph.



Entries and extra images must be submitted in time.
Entry image must be fullbody image with background. Photo backgrounds are not allowed.
Riders must be over 5 years old.
Correct tack must be used. Manes does not have to be braided.
Helmet and safety-wear must be used by all riders under the age of 18.
Jockeys can wear stable colours
Horses can't be taller than 14,2 hh/148 cm

The entries will be judged in 3 different sections: Effort and creativity, details, and extra pictures. There will be 3 judges throughout the whole show, but every entry will be judged by 2 judges and an average will be calculated between both the judges final scores (this way the judges can actually enter the show themselves and they will not judge their own entries).

Effort:
Effort: Entry shows effort was put into making it, we will partly look at previous pictures for this (but don't feel pressured to outdo old pictures, we're only looking to get a rough idea) Points will not be deducted for experimenting in different styles (eg. if your entry is more of a cartoon style when you usually draw realistic). ( up to 150 points awarded )

Style and creativity:
The way the whole picture comes across to viewers. Uniqueness of style, creativity with angles or colours, whether it's clean or messy, and coming from perspective of a viewer..if judges genuinely like the look of the picture as a whole.( up to 100 points awarded )

Background Effort:
If there is a fully coloured and drawn background, if it has shading, shadows etc. Points will not be awarded for manipulated or photo backgrounds. Nor half photo backgrounds. If the background is completely wrong regarding the actual Pony Olympics setting, points won't be deducted. Background has to be drawn by you! (up to 70 points awarded)

- Correct surroundings
- The correct arena (surface, fencing, surrounding area)
- Correct Weather and time of day
- Other horses and riders
- Country flag on saddlepad, hat or jacket of rider
- Stable colours on clothing and tack
- Correct Tack (no western tack, riding in headcollars/bareback etc.)
- Rider's Clothing (correct show clothing!)
- Features Sponsors (banners or obstacles)
- Storyline

You will not loose points if shown horse misbehaving, stopping or rider falling off

Ponies shown training at your own stable.
More than one of your ponies can be shown and each will get points
COLLABS welcome! If 2 people decide to 'get together' beforehand for training, each pony in the picture will get these points:

- Initial +1 point per picture
- Full Body pony +1 point
- Fullbody Rider / handler + 1 point
- Training fitting the discipline they compete in +1 point
- Shaded +1 point
- Storyline +2 points
- Sketchy and uncoloured -2 points

Pony Olympics extra images (5 per entry counted)
Pony OR/AND rider shown on Pony Olympics grounds. This can be just a rider socializing with other riders!
Again, collabs are welcome and points will be given to all people in the collab.
