I really liked how this turned out! I changed every part of the original piece which I did not like, but kept the concept. I looked at the original image, and I personally like that one better. The reason being, I see so many of these open book, pop out composites, and they always seem to be setting on a dock, or some sort of pier. Your first version had more originality to it. On this one, I would have done a bit more with the sky and left the flames out, the flames make it a bit too busy. You did an excellent job on the rest of the book artwork though.
